3 Reservations All Marlborough Tour Company services require forward bookings to ensure availability. Reservations can be placed in a number of ways : 1. PREFERENCE - Please feel free to utilise our address, info@marlboroughtourcompany.co.nz for all bookings or enquiries. Confirmation of all bookings will be on a 24 hour basis. We will always endeavor to respond on the same day. 2. International calling For those within New Zealand please use our free phone Deposits and Cancellations Please note that a full cancellation and deposit policy is attached at the end of this product manual. Summary: 1. Unless a credit account is in place with Marlborough Tour Company the client agrees to pay a 20% deposit at the time of making the booking with full payment made prior to the commencement of the package or tour. 2. A cancellation fee will apply in the situation where the client makes the cancellation within 10 days of commencement date. 3. A cancellation fee will not apply and a full refund given or the tour rescheduled in the event that Marlborough Tour Company is forced to cancel the tour due to weather, or situations beyond our control. 4 Pricing Details and Pricing Variables Included in this manual are Marlborough Tour Company services and pricing schedules. These details are valid for the period 1 April 2017 through to 31 March All pricing listed is inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at 15%. Marlborough Travel reserves the right to amend rates if the GST rate changes. The service and pricing summary as well as the full service descriptions shows both our advertised retail rates as well as Nett Wholesale Rates. Public Holiday Pricing and Fuel Surcharge Please note that Marlborough Tour Company does not impose a Public Holiday surcharge. However with the volatility of fuel prices in New Zealand we reserve the right to amend pricing as we may be forced to impose fuel surcharges to our set tour prices. In the event of this happening you will be advised of a new pricing structure for all services. Days of Operation Please note that Marlborough Tour Company is closed to all services on Christmas Day December 25. Please note that due to wineries being closed on certain days Wine Tours are not available on : 25 December Christmas day 26 December Boxing Day 1 January New Years Day Easter Friday (Fri 14 April 2017 and Fri 30 March 2018) ANZAC day 25 April. 5 FIT Daily Departure Seafood Cruises Marlborough Sounds Seafood Odyssea Cruise Picton Short Description Enjoy the spectacular Queen Charlotte Sound on the Seafood Odyssea Cruise, learn about Salmon and Oyster farming and sample wonderful seafood tastings. Full Description Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Queen Charlotte Sound with seemingly endless bays and coves to explore and different scenery around each corner. Seafood Odyssea Cruise offers a unique look at Aquaculture (the growing of fresh seafood) with visits to Salmon, Oyster and Mussel farms. Learn about the Marlborough Sounds area, the local seafoods grown and enjoy a fabulous seafood tasting. While cruising there is the chance opportunity for encountering local birdlife and wildlife. Seafood Odyssea cruise departs each afternoon over the summer season. Cruise Itinerary 1.30pm cruise departure from Picton Marina for an afternoon scenic cruise through the Queen Charlotte Sound. Cruise to Ruakaka Bay to visit a New Zealand King Salmon Farm where passengers can go onto the farm (optional and weather permitting) to hand feed the Salmon and learn the fascinating process of Salmon farming. Continue the cruise into Tory Channel to view a different type of aquaculture with a look at suspension culture (the technique traditionally used to grow Mussels and now Oysters). Then comes the fun bit, a fabulous tasting of divine Regal Salmon, Cloudy Bay Clams and Greenshell Mussels matched to a complimentary glass of award winning Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Full Description Taste Marlborough has been created for visitors who love great wine and those who want to learn more about the region, the wineries, the wines and the people who create them. Taste Marlborough tours through a select number of boutique and iconic wineries, a group of wineries selected for their history, fabulous service and stunning range of wines. They are also a group of wineries where you will get to meet great people who know wine and love sharing their passion for wine. Wineries regularly included in the tour are Forrest Estate, Cloudy Bay, Wither Hills with time out for a divine lunch at Brancott Estate restaurant*. * (Please note that all the wineries included can and do change on certain days as we are very dependent on availability of winemakers and senior wine staff. Full Description Enjoy a wonderful one way trip from Picton, through the Marlborough wine region, the Marlborough Sounds and onwards to Nelson. The perfect way to travel across the top of the South Island while experiencing the highlights of the regions. Choose from a morning departure for a full day of touring or the midday departure which meets guests coming off the morning ferry from Wellington. From the flat fertile Wairau plains, home of the world famous Marlborough wine region through to the steep mountainous hill ranges of the Marlborough Sounds the region offers wonderful photo opportunities around every corner. Enjoy a regional tour taking in the best the area has to offer while indulging in a few special interest venues along the way such as a Marlborough winery, boutique brewery, Makana Chocolates, local olive oils, arts, crafts and more. For something really special the world class Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre (surcharge applies). Suggested Itinerary Collection and depart on tour and start with a visit to Rarangi beach for the short walk to the Monkey Bay lookout, wonderful coastal views across the beach, Cloudy Bay, Cook Strait, and on a clear day views right across to the south coast of Wellington. Tour through the township of with optional stops for shopping at Jewellery of NZ or a walk in the sprawling gardens of Pollard Park. From head out into the wine region to Brancott Estate for a fabulous photo opportunity overlooking the Brancott valley and the Marlborough wine region. 17 Private Wine Tour of Marlborough With over 100 wineries in the region, a host of primary food producers, cafés and restaurants galore, Marlborough really is a gourmet province. This private tour gives individuals, couples and groups the opportunity to experience the wines and attractions of Marlborough with their very own private guide for the day. Visit icon wineries such as Cloudy Bay, Allan Scott, Hunters and Brancott, or boutique wineries such as Auntsfield, Seresin, Saint Clair, Huia and more. Your itinerary can be created on the day after speaking with your experienced wine guide, or alternatively select one of our many wine tour options. We would however be happy to include your clients favourite wines or wine styles so please let us know their preferences in advance and we will create a personalized itinerary just for them.
