Inspired by the simplicity, relaxed and feel-good vibe of the seersucker fabric, Chef Brian Malarkey created a comfortable space that invites patrons to come early and stay late. The airy design features an open kitchen, a lounge space with livable couches and a lively bar area. With ever-changing DJs, patrons can watch the action, chat without boundaries and feel as if they re at a friend s house party rather than a restaurant. The Sea in the name pays homage to the menu s love of the ocean and embodies its own personality: gregarious, mischievous, fun-loving and authentic. 12 Celebrity Chef Brian Malarkey A former Top Chef finalist and the winning mentor on ABC s The Taste, Chef Brian Malarkey has grown to become a household culinary name with guest appearances on the Food Network, Travel Channel, Bravo, TLC, OWN and more. An Oregon native, Malarkey s cowboy roots and love of seafood led him to enroll in Portland s Le Cordon Bleu culinary school. He later went on to work with worldrenowned chefs like Chef Michel Richard at Citrus, and opened The Oceanaire Seafood Room in Seattle, Washington and San Diego, California as Executive Chef /Partner. Coined as an unapologetic Tong Chef, Chef Brian Malarkey admits that everything he cooks can be done with a pair of tongs, welcoming the chaos and focusing on flavor rather than presentation. His award-winning Fabric of Social Dining restaurant concepts, including the Searsucker and Herringbone brands, have expanded to food-centric cities around the nation including San Diego, Los Angeles, Austin and Las Vegas.
