1 Welcome to earth s only mayonnaise store! Empire Mayonnaise Co. 564 Vanderbilt Ave., Brooklyn, NY The Empire Mayonnaise Company makes gourmet, small-batch mayonnaise in Brooklyn, New York. Using all-natural ingredients, and exotic seasonal flavors, it s made by hand, with humanely raised eggs and non-gmo oils, and it s the first brand of its kind. Empire Mayo is created by Chef Sam Mason and managed by Designer Elizabeth Valleau. Co-founders and friends, Sam and Elizabeth, had a vision of mayonnaise made different. They knew that homemade and flavored mayo could transform the simplest dish into a gourmet treat. Through the combined talents of the Chef and the Designer, the concept for an entirely new mayonnaise was crafted. They started the brand small and local in The famed Brooklyn Flea and Smorgasburg events were taste testing grounds before opening a commercial kitchen and retail lab a year later in the Prospect Heights section of Brooklyn, New York. Opening a production facility in a retail space generated a tremendous amount of press interest by making Empire Mayonnaise the world s first mayonnaise store and demand has increased exponentially. As of 2014 Empire Mayo can be found in several regions of Whole Foods and over 200 independent groceries in the US, and has begun international distribution in Japan, Singapore, and China. sales@empiremayo.com (MAYO)

2 THE DESIGNER CO-FOUNDER, ELIZABETH VALLEAU As Co-founder and CEO of the Empire Mayonnaise Co., she s led the company from a tough little startup to national recognition. Elizabeth has made a name in several industries, winning industry awards in branding, design and marketing. She combined those skills with her lifelong passion for delicious, sustainable foods when creating Empire Mayo. Elizabeth runs the busines, managing everything from development to packaging and retail design. Elizabeth excels at strategic thinking, visual presentation and team leadership. 3 THE CHEF CO-FOUNDER, SAM MASON Co-founder and Executive Chef Sam Mason, develops recipes and oversees production for the Empire Mayonnaise Company. Sam made a name in the gourmet industry as the pastry chef at the 3 Michelin star, molecular gastronomy restaurant WD-50. He was nominated for the James Beard award for pastry and has competed on the Iron Chef. He then went on to start his own restaurant Tailor, as well as hosting the television series Dinner with the Band on IFC.
