Nov th Thanksgiving Break No School Tuesday, Nov. 29th Family Literacy Night Literacy Luau 5:30-7:00pm November 11, 2016 Literacy Luau Coming to FES! On Tuesday, November 29th, FES will host our annual Family Literacy Night! The theme this year is Literacy Luau! The evening will begin at 5:30pm with a FREE pizza dinner for students and their families! (Note: Dinner will end at 6:00pm so families can enjoy the planned activities.) Part of the FES Literacy Night will feature a book swap. Students and parents are encouraged to bring gently used books from home to swap for other books. There will be an area for students and a separate area for adults. There is no limit to the number of books you can bring. Families wishing to attend should return the RSVP form that was sent home with students today. All RSVP forms are due back to school by Wednesday November 23rd. (Form also attached here) KDG & 1st Grade E-Learning Parent Night The Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers will be hosting an E-Learning Parent Night on Tuesday November 15th from 5:00-6:00pm. This event will walk adults through the programs/apps that will be used on E-Learning days should weather keep us from school. We ask that only adults attend this event in order to maximize the one hour session.

There has been a spike in ipad damages and claims! These damages are resulting in fees for parents. Please help us in our effort to increase awareness about ipad usage and care. Remind your student(s): 1.) NO ipads on the bus!!!! 2.) ipads should be INSIDE book bags when students arrive and as they leave 3.) ipads should be closed and held properly while walking in the hallway and in the classroom Objective: Each student will have the opportunity to choose an adult or community leader and write a letter of respect and appreciation. 3 Health Room Needs Mrs. Jouppi our nurse is in need of boys pants and new boys underwear. Donations would be very much appreciated!!! Also, if your student has borrowed clothing from the nurse s office, please wash and return those items. We ve got spirit yes we do, we ve got spirit how bout you? The FES PTO is selling spirit wear! Orders will be taken until November 19th and delivered before Christmas! Another opportunity to order MV spirit wear is through our school website. The spirit wear link can be found on our school website under the community tab and on the athletic website under Marauder HQ.
