3 Hucknall Beer Festival 2015 Welcome to the 2015 Hucknall Beer Festival in association with Nottingham CAMRA at the John Godber Centre. Entry to the Festival is free up to 5pm, from 5pm entry is 2 and you will be given a wristband. Beer Tokens and Glasses are available to purchase from the bar along with snacks and other drinks. Beer Tokens are 50p each and glasses are Tokens are only valid for the day of purchase and cannot be used/refunded on any other day. Glasses can be returned to the bar and a refund will be provided, or if you wish you can take it home as a souvenir. 2 tokens = 1/3 measure 3 tokens = 1/2 measure Food will be available from the food outlet in the car park throughout Friday and Saturday. Please Note: Magnum Opus 7.3% Ceremony of Opposites 6.5% Require one extra token Res Beers will go on sale when space permits. 14 Numbered beers will be on sale from the start of the Festival, if ready, until they run out. 14 @HucknallBeer THE CIDER & PERRY LIST All of the cider / perry is NOT filtered, NOT pasteurised and all are full-juice cider / perry (ie no added water or sugar). All of these makers have won awards at the blind-judged East Midands CAMRA Cider Championships. Charnwood Cider Appley Ave Another Cider 5.0% Medium-dry Made by Rob Clough in Cropston on the edge of Bradgate Park, near Loughborough. A full-juice blend of locally grown apples. Rob is twice winner of Gold at the East Midlands CAMRA Champion Cider Competition. Disco-Cox Cider 5.6% Medium Rob has blended the juice from Discovery and Cox apples to make this cider. Rockingham Forest Home Orchard Blend Cider 7.4% Medium-dry Made by Mark Shirley in the Welland Valley village of Middleton, it is a pure apple juice hand-crafted heritage traditional cider, unfiltered and unpasteurised. Malvern Hills S.V. Perry 8.4% Medium Mark uses the Malvern Hills perry pear to make this heritage traditional purejuice Single Variety perry. He picks the fruit by hand from a very old, un-sprayed orchard in the Cotswolds. Mark s perry won Gold in the Perry Class at the East Midlands CAMRA Champion Cider Competition in Woody s Cider Woody s Medium Sweet Cider 5.6% Medium-sweet Frank Wood makes his full-juice ciders from apples collected around his home town of Branston near Burton on Trent. His bottled cider won Gold at the East Midlands CAMRA Champion Cider Competition in 2014.

15 Anthea Roberts St Mary s Trading Company Director, John Godber Centre Management Committee Member, Beer Festival Committee, Volunteer and Friend 23rd July th November 2013 Anthea was a dear friend to all of us at the John Godber Centre and her vision, kindness, support, efforts and contribution of love and time have made the Centre what it is today. Without her determination the resurrection of the Hucknall Beer Festival would not have been possible in 2011 along with several other projects within the Centre and its development over the years. Anthea dedicated a lot of time to the organisation of the Hucknall Beer Festival from preparing tokens, serving food, printing programmes, spreading the word of the Festival and many other jobs to ensure the Festivals success. Anthea is missed dearly every day and we will always remember her. The 2015 Hucknall Beer Festival is dedicated to her memory.

16 About The John Godber Centre... The John Godber Centre is a community venue at the heart of Hucknall. The Centre is housed in the old Parish Church Hall of St Mary Magdalene, which was built in 1906 following the vision of Canon John Godber to have a hall in the centre of the town to benefit local people. He longed to provide the local community with a place to meet and socialise. The land was generously donated by the Duke of Portland and any monies raised to build the centre were matched by Canon Godber. For over 100 years the Centre has continued this aim, providing such facilities and developing afresh in each new generation. It is still at the heart of community life and is much used and valued by the local community. The Centre today is governed by a Trust Board made up of individuals from the Local Parish Church Council and local community. The Centre offers a number of rooms for private hire for weddings, children s parties, christenings, family events and meetings. The Centre is also home to over 50 different groups, including: theatre groups, social groups for the elderly and bereaved, young person s groups, dance and exercise classes, to name but a few. The Centre has on average 1,000 users passing through its doors every week.
