Finishing sweet and long. Glenmorangie 10 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Highland Pale gold. Very feminine with lots of flowers and spices. Very light. Flowery and spicy with some malty sweetness. Glenmorangie has a lovely creamy almost buttery palate. Glenmorangie Lasanta 46% Own 70cl Highland Dark amber. Sherry notes dominate the nose. Spicy Christmas cake and ginger. Rich and full on the palate. Very much an after dinner style malt. The extra spirit adds more depth. 1

This is a super expression of a well crafted malt. Glenmorangie Nectar d'or 46% Own 70cl Highland Brilliant gold. Honey and sweet nectarines on the nose. A luxurious mouth feel and a sweet and very complex palate. Rich and elegant. This is a superb malt whisky. All in a presentation box. Glenturret 10 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Highland Pale gold. Spicy citrus with some positive vanilla notes. A touch of orange zest and vanilla on the palate. Tastes a lot more mature than ten years old. Glenturret 16 Years Old 50% DL 70cl Highland The nose is initially crisp and floral then sweet and malty with aromas of ginger and toffee apples. A mouthcoating spicy ginger palate follows to a smooth and sweetly spiced finish. Oban 14 Years Old 43% Own 70cl Highland Full gold to amber. Pebbles on a beach with a good waft of malt. Viscous and smooth. Delicate with some seaweed notes. A long appetizing finish. Old Pulteney 12 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Highland Deep yellow. Sweet and salty. The Manzanilla of the north? Light with a touch of oilyness. The finish continues in the same vain. A great pre-dinner whisky. Old Pulteney 17 Years Old 46% Own 70cl Highland Red-Amber. Hints of pears and apple with a whiff of sea breeze. A full-bodied palate with floral honey flavours and a truly remarkable finish. Royal Lochnagar 12 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Highland Full gold. Big with some smokiness. Medium to full. A malty sweetness with some restrained fruit. Queen Victoria was said to very partial to a wee dram of Lochnagar. Tomatin 12 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Highland Bright gold. Soft and sweet with a minty and biscuity nose. Smooth and velvety on the palate with flavours of pine nuts and toffee. Medium and rich, beautifully combined mellow flavours: nutty, sweet sherry with a distinctive orange fruit notes. Good long finish. Balvenie Single Barrel 15 Years Old 47.8% Own 70cl Speyside Pale gold. Assertive dry fresh oak; heather and a touch of lemon peel. Firm with lively cedar and fruity pineapple-like sweetness. Dry and rich finish. Balvenie Portwood % Own 70cl Speyside Warm gold. A hint of cream and toffee with a creamy and clinging mouth feel. A suggestion of passion fruit with orange Muscat. The Port is restrained which lets the malt shine through. Balvenie Sherry Oak 17 Years Old 43% Own 70cl Speyside The latest addition to the Balvenie family & a more than welcome addition to our shelves. This purely Sherry matured 17 year old is as sweet and rich as you would expect. Benromach 21 Years Old 43% Own 70cl Speyside Burnt gold. Delicious notes of fruitcake and aged rum. This is an expertly made malt. The diligent use of good quality sherry casks has produced a world class whisky. Benromach Traditional No age statement 40% Own 70cl Speyside Pale gold. A combination of smoke and malt. A real throw back to when the whiskies of Speyside had a touch of peat. This is a beautifully crafted malt. Cragganmore 12 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Speyside Golden. An astonishingly complex nose. A stroll through a herb garden and a toffee shop. A firm and smooth body. Complexity continues on the palate and ends up long and dry. 2

Soft and spicy on the finish. Glen Grant 10 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Speyside Pale gold. Light and fruity with a nutty character that adds some real substance to this fine and very elegant malt. The finish is sweet then dry. Glenlivet 16 Years Old 50% DL 70cl Speyside Malt biscuits on the nose with some definite spice. On the palate sweet spice mingles with honeyed tannins. A long lingering finish with a touch of cloves. Glen Ord 12 Years Old 43% Own 70cl Speyside Full gold. Daffodil and sultana on the nose. Medium and firm. Dry grass, warm cinnamon and toffee. Lots of fresh oak and malt on the finish. Glenfarclas 10 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Speyside Full gold. Big with some sherry sweetness and nuttiness and a touch of smoke. Characteristically firm. Dry with the flavour developing slowly. Sweet and long on the finish. Glenfarclas 15 Years Old 46% Own 70cl Speyside Amber. Plenty of sherry oak, maltiness and a hint of smokiness. All the elements of a lovely mixed bouquet. Firm and rounded as is the house style. Long and very smooth. Glenfarclas 21 Years Old 43% Own 70cl Speyside Amber. Brandy butter and lots of sultanas elegant and rich. Firm, fruity and buttery in the mouth. Truly delicious. A remarkably long finish that is sweet and fine. Glenfarclas 30 Years Old 43% Own 70cl Speyside Bright amber. Oaky on the nose as you would expect of a whisky of this age. A firm combination of oak and Christmas cake. One of the finest malts in all of Scotland. Glenfarclas l 105 No age statement t t 60% Own 70cl Speyside Full gold to bronze. Robust butterscotch and raisins. Full and heavy. Very sweet almost nectar-like. The finish is powerful and sweet with a big spirit hit. Glenfiddich Solera 15 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Speyside Bright gold. Chocolate and toast with a whiff of smoke. Light but very smooth. Silky and suave with white chocolate and a gentle spice. The finish is smooth and long. Glenfiddich Ancient 18 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Speyside Very old gold. Rich notes from the sherry cask ageing. Very soft palate with restrained fruit notes a very sophisticated malt whisky. One to savour. Glenfiddich Gran Reserva 21 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Speyside Apricot. Chocolate box aromas. Soft and lightly creamy with vanilla and Cuban coffee interplaying amongst the layers of Vanilla oak. An amazing malt. Glenrothes 12 Years Old 50% DL 20cl Speyside Aged in a refill sherry butt this fine example of classic Speyside malt is the perfect after dinner dram. Warming notes of cinnamon and all spice continue on the palate Glenrothes % Own 70cl Speyside Old gold. Quite delicate on the nose, some sherry notes break through. Sweet red liquorice and a spice that pings around the palate. A nice end of the day dram. Glentauchers 12 Years Old 50% DL 20cl Speyside A soft and gentle Speysider that is rarely seen. A gentle whiff of vanilla and marsh-mallow on the nose. The palate is very gentle with a touch of clotted cream and fudge. Knockando 12 Years Old 43% Own 70cl Speyside Pale straw. Lemon grass and shortbread followed by some summer fruits. Light and silky smooth. Soft and creamy with honey, faint smoke & some raspberries. The finish is dry. Linkwood 10 Years Old 50% DL 20cl Speyside Rum and raisin ice cream with a hint of grist. This is one of the best distilleries on Speyside but is often over looked. A complex malt that pings around the palate. 3

The finish is soothing and dry. Top notch. Macallan Speymalt % G+M 70cl Speyside Bright gold. A suggestion of marzipan in the aroma. Sweet with spicy sherry notes. Very well balanced malt with just a hint of citrus at the end. Macallan 16 Years Old 50% DL 70cl Speyside Fresh, clean floral and honeyed. Sweet, herbal and mouth wateringly rich. This is text book Macallan. Lightly spiced and malty at the finish. Macallan 25 Years Old 50% DL 70cl Speyside A fresh and floral nose tantalises before a seductive fresh and malty palate journeys through to an everlasting, lingering but dry finish. This single cask bottling is a true star. Macallan Platinum 30 Years Old 52.2% DL 70cl Speyside Very limited rare Macallan. Selected for sale in Great Britain only. Very complex nose with honey and sweet spice. Full yet elegant on the palate. An aromatic and distinctly dry finish. Mortlach 12 Years Old 50% DL 70cl Speyside Orange zest, citrus fruits and spice. Toffee and clove with some very pleasant dryness. The finish replicates the palate and lasts for a long time. Speyburn 10 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Speyside Solid gold. Flowery, lots of heather. A gentle and subtle body. Clean light and malty with some fresh herbal, heathery notes. Still fresh and sweet on the tail. Tamdhu No age statement 40% Own 70cl Speyside Bright gold. Flowery with faint notes of cereal and oak. Very light and soft. Clean and sweet with some toffee overtones. A malt whisky for beginners. Tomintoul 10 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Speyside Full sunny gold. Lemon grass and oranges on the nose. Light smooth and sweet with crushed barley and nuts coming through. The finish is lively and lingering. Campbeltown Malts Glen Scotia 12 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Campbeltown Full gold. Salty buckets of sand and toasted oak. You couldn t mistake this in a line up. Glen Scotia is unique in style and is a truly restorative dram. Longrow 10 Years Old 46% Own 70cl Campbeltown Amber red. This is what malt whisky is all about. So many flavours to fit in to one tasting note. Imagine sitting by a rock pool and a bonfire at the same time. Longrow 14 Years Old 46% Own 70cl Campbeltown Pale gold. Sea spray and chimneys. A wolf in sheep's clothing. The peat sneaks up from behind and takes you by surprise. Full and very long. A great dram. Springbank 10 Years Old 46% Own 70cl Campbeltown Gold. Hints of the sea and coconut husks. Oily and mouth coating. Melon and more coconut, then some pear flavours and a dash of salt. Clean and fresh. Springbank 10 Years Old 50% DL 20cl Campbeltown Salty and briny with apples and honey. Still apples and brine then a tell tale coconut and spice mid palate. Long salty and plain delicious. Springbank 15 Years Old 46% Own 70cl Campbeltown Light amber. Sophisticated notes of rich Dundee cake with some new leather and tobacco thrown in for good measure. Full, rich and mouth coating. Very complex. Springbank 100 Proof 10 Years Old 57% Own 70cl Campbeltown Old gold. Complex with strands of ginger and honey. Most unusual for a Springbank. A massive explosion of malt and soft vanilla oak. Superb! 4

7 Islay Malts Ardbeg 10 Years Old 46% Own 70cl Islay Old gold in colour. Smoke, brine and iodine. A hard hitting mid-palate with malty smoke running all the way through. A mean and moody malt with a sweet finish. Ardbeg Uigeadail No age statement 54.2% Own 70cl Islay Pale gold. Peat reek and fruitcake comes through. A firm yet smooth palate which explodes on the tongue. The spirit on the finish can be a shock to the system. Ardbeg Airigh Nam Beist % Own 70cl Islay Straw Gold. Sea spray and peat oil with a touch of vanilla ice cream. Dark rum and raisin followed by burnt heather. Peppery and oily. This is Ardbeg at its very best. Bowmore 12 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Islay Warm amber, subtle notes of lemon and honey with a distinctive smokiness. On the palate is subtle dark chocolate and peat smoke. A great introduction to Islay malt whisky. Bowmore 18 Years Old 43% Own 70cl Islay Mellow mahogany. Creamy caramel toffee with ripe fruit and smoke. Incredibly complex with soft fruit, more chocolate and whisps of light smoke. A real classic. Bowmore 'Darkest' 15 Years Old 43% Own 70cl Islay Burnt Sienna. Dark chocolate and raisins with a classic smokiness. Cedar wood and treacle toffee. This malt has won every award going. Bowmore Collection 43% Own 3x20cl Islay A 20cl bottle of each of the 3 different expressions from the Bowmore distillery, the 12 year old, the 18 year old and the multiple award winning 15 year old darkest. Bruichladdich 13 Years Old 50% DL 20cl Islay Sea breezes and sweet vanilla bombard the senses. On the palate clean and fresh malt. Light yet complex with a very satisfying finish. Bruichladdich Waves 7 Years Old 46% Own 70cl Islay Finished in Malmsey Madeira casks, this new addition to the Bruichladdich family is a welcome arrival. Fairly smoky for a Laddie with a mellow warmth. Bruichladdich Links Hoylake 14 Years Old 46% Own 70cl Islay Orange gold. Sea spray, oak and candid peel on the nose. Sweetness and salt interplay with the oak. Lots of complexity as the flavours keep changing. A fantastic finish. Bruichladdich 12 Years Old 46% Own 70cl Islay Sweet oak flavours burst onto the palate, strong and flavoursome. Richness and fruitiness emerges and leads to a finish of lip-smacking black cherries. An absolute thoroughbred. Bruichladdich 15 Years Old 46% Own 70cl Islay This second edition has been finished in Sauternes casks and this is evident in the sweet fruitiness in the mid palate. I think this is my favourite Laddie of all time. Bruichladdich Twenty Years Old 46% Own 70cl Islay Pink-gold. Ripe sultanas and freshly made dough. Mouth-watering fruit then drier vanilla dominated maltiness. More soft, sweet vanilla on the finish. A superb dram. Bruichladdich Infinity II No age statement 55.5% Own 70cl Islay A slightly peatier style than the original, Red berry fruits and Turkish delight on the nose with sweet rich raisins on the palate. Finished in Rioja casks. Bruichladdich WMD II 14 Years Old 46% Own 70cl Islay WMD 2. A fourteen year old expression of the Laddie in honour of the mysterious submarine that popped up outside of the distillery. Bunnahabhain % G+M 70cl Islay Old Bronze. Very complex nose with aromas of the sea and heather. Very gentle with a delicious, refreshing salty tang. Light and very soft. A great expression of Islay malt. Bunnahabhain 17 Years Old 50% DL 70cl Islay A malty, lightly smoked and evidently vanillin nose proceeds a rich, oaky, creamy palate with characteristics of salty seaweed with a long, impressively smooth finish. 5

8 Caol Ila 12 Years Old 43% Own 70cl Islay Very pale. Mint and juniper on the nose with some burnt grass as well. Light, oily and very soothing. This is a very well made Islay single malt. Caol Ila 12 Years Old 50% DL 20cl Islay Arbroath smokies and a whiff of the ocean. Oily and very satisfying. Lots of complex flavours with a sweetness that goes on and on. Classic Islay. Caol Ila 18 Years Old 43% Own 70cl Islay Fino sherry colour. Fragrant menthol & smoke with vanilla coming across. A firm full body. An assertive leafy sweetness. The finish is powerful. A very memorable dram. Caol Ila Cask Strength No age statement 55% Own 70cl Islay Very pale, white wine. Intense, sweetish grapefruit and coconut on the nose. An interplay of smoky sweetness and peppery dryness on the tongue. Superb. Lagavulin 16 Years Old 43% Own 70cl Islay Full amber colour. Peat smoke with sea spray on the nose. A firm smooth body. A frisky Islay that has sweet lingering peat on the finish. Lagavulin Cask Strength 12 Years Old 57.8% Own 70cl Islay Pale white wine colour. Delightful restrained peat smoke. Sweet malt in droves with touches of oily cocoa butter. Firm and warming to the very end. Laphroaig 12 Years Old 50% DL 70cl Islay A mouth coating fairground ride of sweet peat, smoke, salt, iodine and tar with an exceptionally long, phenolic and medicinal finish. Amateurs beware. Laphroaig 18 Years Old 50% DL 70cl Islay Immediately sweet on the nose, with hints of tar and sea shore notes. Very soft and smooth yet still lets you know that it is a serious Laphroaig. This is an amazing whisky. Port Ellen 23 Years Old 50% DL 70cl Islay The nose on this rare old Sherry cask Port Ellen is big and peaty with a full, chewy, spicy and oaky palate leading to a peaty ashy and leathery finish. A rare dram indeed. Other Island Malts Arran 10 Years Old 46% Own 70cl Arran Light gold, lemon biscuits and toffee. A very well balanced yet full-bodied, malty palate. Finishing sweet and long. This is a 5 star Whisky. Arran 10 Years Old 50% DL 20cl Arran Hints of Christmas cake and chocolate biscuits. A full bodied malt that has a comforting, soft middle and finishes long and sweet. Jura CC % G+M 70cl Jura Straw coloured. Hints of seaweed and some caramel. A sweet and simple malt that doesn t pretend to be any thing else. Easy drinking with a satisfying finish. Ledaig CC % G+M 70cl Mull Light gold. Some notes of burning embers and hay. Cider apples and fudge on the palate with the texture of custard. Ending pleasantly sweet. Tobermory 10 Years Old 40% Own 70cl Mull Full gold. Light aromas but a definite touch of peat. Light to medium bodied but very smooth. A nutty and minty palate with some toffee notes. Finishing light and sweet. Highland Park 16 Years Old 50% DL 70cl Orkneys Light gold. Honey and heather. Very soft with the meerest hint of smoke. A dash of dry oak and some more honey. An alluring expression of Highland Park. Scapa % G+M 70cl Orkneys Very light gold. White chocolate and fudge. Spicy vanilla and fudge on the palate. The finish is again spicy but very soothing. 6

9 Scapa 11 Years Old 50% DL 20cl Orkneys Herbal aromas with a bit of butterscotch. Chewy and big. This is a whisky for a stormy night. A dram that leaves a definite glow. Talisker 10 Years Old 45.8% Own 70cl Skye Bright amber red. Pungent smoke and pepper. Very full and slightly syrupy. Talisker literally explodes on the palate. Lots of sweet peppery oak to finish. The lava of the Cuillins. Talisker 18 Years Old 45.8% Own 70cl Skye Pale gold. Rich and sweet with familiar maritime aromas. Full-bodied and assertive. Time has mellowed this great malt but has not tamed it.
