It contains 72 of the finest Scotch Single Malt Whisky in the world Our Local Distilleries Benromach Distillery located outside Nairn on the outskirts of Forres. Founded in Just two experienced distillers create Benromach using the fine Scottish barley and pure spring water from nearby Romach Hills. Royal Brackla Distillery located outside Nairn on the road to Cawdor. Founded in 1812, the distillery is one of only three ever entitled to be called Royal. As a result of King William IV s particular liking for the whisky, it was called The King s Own Whisky. Tomatin Distillery located in the Monadhliath Mountains just south of Inverness. Founded in 1897, Tomatin is one of the highest distilleries in Scotland at 315 metres above sea level. How to Taste Whisky Tasting whisky is very personal and each whisky is different, but there are three things to look out for in every whisky. Aroma: Swirl the dram around your glass. Slowly take in the different aromas. Taste: Take a sip and roll the whisky around your mouth. Feel the flavours and taste. Finish: The sensation that lingers in your mouth is the finish.

Full flavour, spicy, with a hint of oranges. 2 Aberlour 10 Year Dry, fresh, fruity aromas of apples and pears with sweet notes of vanilla and mint toffee Very smooth and creamy, with spicy-sweet nutmeg, honey and autumn fruits. Long, soft and warming. 3 AberlourA bunadh 12 Year 4 Aberlour 15 Year A bunadh means original in Gaelic. This potent whisky is exceptional. Powerful nose evokes sherry, full fragrances slightly smoked, red fruit. Perfumed, floral nose Smooth palate, rich with menthol hints. The fruit taste is intense. Sweet chocolate and orange notes. Spicy orange and marmalade. Great balance of rich fruit, wooded. Sweet finish(nougat and praline) spicy (ginger) and slightly smoked with honey 59 A toffee finish. 5 Ben Nevis 10 Year Ben Nevis Distillery established in 1825 at the foot of Ben Nevis. This whisky has a sweet malty bouquet. Light citrus aroma. Soft oils, citrus notes. Very big on the malt, but sweet enough to savour. Long hints of bitter roast coffee against the sweet oils. 6 Balvenie Signature 12 Year, Double Wood Rich and complex with honey, citrus fruits and vanilla oak notes Rich & honeyed with a hint of sherry fruitiness. Spiciness of cinnamon &nutmeg, oaky. Warm and lingering 7 Balvenie Single Barrel, 15 Year Vanilla honeyed sweetness, hints of heather and dry oaky notes. Rich & complex. A honeyed maltiness with vanilla oak flavours, & hints of spicy peat Long and complex finish with a touch of liquorice Benromach10 Year Rich sherry with fruit & nut chocolate and cinnamon. Green apples, malty, digestive biscuit note and light peat smoke. Forest fruits bramble and raspberry. Sherry, malt creaminess, strongly peaty. Long lingering finish with subtle sherry and peat. 9 Benromach Organic Nairnshire Sweet, charred oak aromas with fresh fruit notes (bananas and pineapples). An earthy, toasted aroma also present Sweet, vanilla and toffee flavours. Hints of green apples and orange peel. Sweet oak and hints of fruit 10 Benromach Peat Smoke Initial soft fruit notes, with a subtle medicinal edge. Sweetness develops and a touch of fire embers linger. Touch of gentle spices. Warming with a pronounced sweetness, hints of ash. Long and sweet. 11 Benromach Distilled 2001 Nairnshire Fresh with subtle esters and toasted Malt. Sweet vanilla flavours with hints of cream toffee, with a fresh pear not emerging. A burst of chilli spice, mouth warming with a hint of liquorice and earthy notes. Smooth and Creamy Finish Benromach Traditional, Nairnshire Citrus fruits (lemons and limes) with a hint of honey and pine resin. Peaty and malt notes in the background. Smoky with cereal and malt flavours. Dries up with spicy/peppery notes. A delicate floral edge. 13 Benromach 25 Year, Local, Forres Citrus fruits - oranges and lemons with a soft fruit element also present. Delicate floral aromas and a spicy earthy note. Sweet and spicy with cedar wood developing late. Subtle citrus fruitiness developing late. Sweet, spices with a little fruitiness.

3 14 Bowmore 12 Year Islay Hebrides More salt, seaweed and smoke than at 10 years. Medium. Lightly syrupy. Remarkably long and salty. 15 Bowmore 18 Year Islay Hebrides Woodsmoke and Citrus Fruitiness Intensely floral with more citrus and chocolate. A burnt-floral character. 16 Bunnahabhain 12 Yr Islay Aromatic with a subtle whiff of smoke floating through the air. Light fruit and nut appeal leading to malty sweetness. Beautifully rich fullbodied, lingering. 17 CaolIla 12 Year Islay, Hebrides Malty sweetness, peat, oil and smoked meat. Some lemon pudding notes. Malty sweetness, green barley, some creosote and treacle toffee Lemon finish. 18 CaolIla 1999 Islay, Hebrides Cane sugar and dried fruit emerge Ripe apple, cherry, dried apricot and a bit of ginger. Long lasting Dalmore 12 Year IWSC Bronze Award winner Orange, marmalade and aromatic spices. Elegant and rich on the palate with intense citrus and hints of sweet vanilla. Vanilla pod, sherry wood with a complex aftertaste. 20 Dalmore 15 Year Matured in sherry butts. Potent and robust. Sweet with toffee, vanilla, sherry and orange. Caramel, Pear, Cinnamon. 22 Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve Slight cigar-smoke nose, with back notes of lighter tobacco, loamy soil, caramel and spice. Fruit notes emerge - pineapple, mango, kiwi Along with the expected toffee and vanilla Dalwhinnie 15 Year Dalwhinnie, Inverness-shire Big, crisp, dry and very aromatic nose with hints of heather and peat. Smooth, soft heather, honey and vanilla flavours. Then citrus-fruit and malted bread. Long, lingering, finish starts sweetly, then smoke, peat and malt. 24 Glenfarclas 10 Year Sherry and heather floral nose. Hint of caramel and honey. Strong sherry with hints of spice, salt and cut grass. Crisp citrus finish. 25 Glenfiddich 12 Year - Valley of the Deer. Fruity and fresh. Green apples and pears. Touch of wood and almonds. Sweet fruity notes. Develops into butterscotch, malt and subtle oak flavours. Green apple finish. A trace of peat at the end.

Drying, with spice and smoke. 31 Glenmorangie 10 Yr Glenmorangie, Tain A rich nose, flower and spicy hints with some vanilla wood notes. Delicate honey wood with a subtle hint of nuttiness. Smooth and relatively long. 32 Glenmorangie 18 Year Extremely Rare Rich, rounded and sweet with dried fruits and a complex floral fragrance. Balanced between honey, malt & flowery scents. Dates & figs emerge in the background with a hint of wood smoke. Long and enticing with the sweetness of dried fruit &subtle dryness of Oloroso nuttiness. 33 Glengoyne 10 Year Glasgow Sweet, with toffee and popcorn aromas. Slightly nutty, with fresh green apples coming through. Clean. Green apples and grass with a hint of sweet liquorice Sweet and malty 34 Glen Moray Elgin, Morayshire Local Lightly drying, warm malty. Butterscotch and shortbread. Lemon and meringue in the back. Lightly spiced. Malty toffee, blackcurrants & lemongrass. Salt spray, fiery wood spices, dark and brooding peat, dark chocolate and stewed prunes. Liquorice, Seville orange marmalade, salty butter and kippers Longmorn 16 Year The hidden jewel of. A luxury malt. Cream, spice, toffee apples and honey. Medium bodied. Fudge, butter and lots of spice. Long finish with oak and dry spices Macallan 10 Year Sherry, cooked cherries and sweet toasted marshmallow. Very smooth. Marshmallow cherries and butterscotch. Spice and ginger cake, lingering flavours. 49 Macallan Fine Oak 10 Year Complex, with hints of fruit, heather and hone. Smooth, soft, maltiness, balanced with oak and fruit. Well rounded and smooth. 52 Speymalt 1988, Macallan Distillery Ripe fruits, coconuts and hints of ginger. Oak and dry grass aromas. Spices with herbal notes, some fruit flavours with a subtle chocolate sweetness. Traces of charred oak. 53 Oban 14 Year Oban, Argyll Rich sweetness and fruits - oranges, lemons and pears, with sea-salt and peaty smokiness. Mouth-filling dried figs and honey-sweet spices; smoky malty dryness. Long, smooth-sweet with oak-wood, and a grain of salt. 54 Elgin 15 Year Rum and raisin initially with rich dark brown sugar notes. Reminiscent of rich sherried Christmas cake. Hints of marzipan linger. Intense sweet flavours with a Sherried edge and hints of mixed spices. Becomes very smooth and mellow. 55 Pultney 12 Year Wick, Caithness Sweet, rich fruit aromas with green, leafy notes. Smoky with a balanced sweetness. Spicy notes present, treacle toffee. Fruit with malt and nutty characteristics- strawberry tart. Slight nuttiness. 56 Royal Brackla Connoisseurs Choice 19 Yrold Local. Cawdor, Nairn Sherry aromas dominate. Rather bitter, hot, but short on finish. 58 Talisker 10 Year Isle of Skye Powerful peat-smoke with seawater saltiness, liquor of fresh oyster & a citrus sweetness. A rich dried-fruit sweetness with clouds of smoke & strong barley-malt flavours, warming & intense. Huge, warming & peppery finish with an appetising sweetness Tobermory 10 Year Tobermory, Isle of Mull Fresh lightly peated smoky nose with sweet malty and fruity notes. Medium dry with a smooth and fruity tang. Woody Little nuttiness in the finish. 60 Tomatin 12 year - Local Tomatin, Inverness The complex bouquet contains rich malt and fruity aromas with just a hint of peatiness. Lasting, sherry and a touch of peat smoke New to the Bandstand Bar Single Malt Whisky Aroma Taste Finish ABV 64 Glenmorangie Nectar D or 15 Year 65 Ardbeg Uigeadail Ardbeg Distillery, Isle of Islay, Argyll Bright golden yellow and the nose is vibrant, fresh and sweet. The undiluted nose is deep and rounded chocolate caramels and barley sugar combine with dates, raisins and smooth sherry notes. Initial aromas that hit the nostrils - vanilla, sweet golden syrup, lemon zest and fresh almonds. Sweet, chewy and oily with a silky mouthfeel. Initially sweet, revealing fruit cake and treacle. This is followed by honey roast food with the slightest hint of olives. Warming with plenty of zesty citrus and wood spice being complimented by sweet sultana and honey notes. Again long, both sweet and dry with honey, treacle and a trace of lint Dalmore Castle Leod, Alness Moray sensuous nose of spicy fruit cake and orange marmalade, blackcurrants, and plums, presumably imparted by the Bordeaux barriques. elegant, balanced and confident, with oranges, kiwi and even mango flavours, along with vanilla, honey and spice. The finish is long, fruity, spicy and luxurious, with brittle toffee, ginger and a hint of liquorice. 67 Dalmore King Alexander III Alness Moray Malty and utterly Dalmore. Seville orange zest, Parfait Amour, malty cereal, barley and chocolate. Creamy vanilla fudge, tropical fruit with a vaguely vinous quality. Medium, rounded. Winter berries, spice, zesty orange. Liqueurs emerge; Gran Marnier, kirsch and Frangelico. Peppery with wellintegrated oak and the claret makes a last minute appearance.

7 68 Glenmorangie Artein 15 Year 69 Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 12 Year, Apple, Madeira wood, potpourri, stewed fruits, black pepper, Manuka honey, peppermint, strawberry jam and custard. Dark mint chocolate, tangerines and Seville oranges mingle with sandalwood and walnut before giving way to a spicy finish of pepper and nutmeg. Creamy, malty and sweet with notes of Campari, parma violets, apple wood, cedar, rich honey, stewed fruits, apple and rhubarb crumble with vanilla spice & molasses. Mint chocolate and walnuts envelop the palate like velvet, laying the foundations for rose, Turkish delight and sweet Seville oranges. Decent length with Victoria sponge and custard. Long lasting silky aftertaste leaving dark chocolate mints and traces of orange. 70 Glenmorangie Sonnalta PX, Chocolate-coated raisins, smothered in treacle with a sprinkling of demerara sugar. Further aromas emerge including ginger, toasted almonds and vanilla. A sweet and fruity flavour progressing into a thick and syrupy pudding with a sprinkling of ginger and cinnamon. Long and rich to the end with treacle toffee, sun-dried raisins and syrupy prunes. 71 Royal Brackla, 20 Years, Rare Malt, Limited Addition Brackla Distillery Years, Pale colour, then flowery aromas and some ginger on the nose. Gentle toffee, citrus and malty nose. The rich bodied style, sweetly honeyed flavours and warming, Rich yet soft palate, orange and dried fruit. dry finish make this a splendid after dinner malt.
