Dietary Requirements We take your dietary requirements very seriously and are continually reviewing our menu and suppliers to cater for you. Please let us know if you have an allergy or a specific dietary requirement. We can adapt various dishes on our Menu to Gluten Free or Dairy Free and offer a complimentary Gluten and Dairy Free biscuit with your hot drink. An Evening with the GINtleman Due to popular demand we re excited to announce that we ll be hosting two MORE evenings with the Gintleman. The evening will feature a history of Gin and a tutored tasting of 6 Gins of his choosing. You ll learn what botanicals go into making Gin and what tonics and garnishes to use to construct boutique G&T s. Canapes will also be served throughout the evening. Saturday 6 th May 7.30pm Fully Booked Saturday 17 th June 7.30pm Fully Booked New dates announced soon. 35pp The Apple Tree Book Club Do you love to lose yourself in a book? Come along to The Apple Tree, on the 1 st Thursday of every month, for cosy conversation over a warm drink, cheeky wine or piece of cake. We will be chatting about a different book each month, to be chosen from a selection by the group. This months book is The Versions Of Us by Laura Barnett. Hosted by Holly who created the Ockbrook Book Swap, runs Fish in a Tree and teaches in a nearby school. The club is free; we just ask that you buy a drink. The next meeting will take place on Thursday 6 th July between 7.30pm- 9pm. We'd like you to have finished reading the book by then. Diamond Thursday s for our 65+ Customers Over the past 3 months we ve been asking our customers in this age bracket what they d like from us and the feedback has been fabulous. Every Thursday enjoy a special menu catered just for you. You asked us for smaller portions to cater for a smaller appetite and we hope you ll be happy with the options. Menu available every Thursday. Bistro Evenings Think dim lights, flickering candles, fabulous food and a free bottle of prosecco. On the last Friday of every month we ll be hosting a bistro evening with a set menu. All Our Bistro Nights are now fully booked until July. New dates will be announced in the Summer. Timings Fresh not Fast We aim to get your order out to you as soon as possible, but please be aware that everything on our menu is freshly prepared to order. If you are in a hurry please let us know and we will do our very best to prepare your food as quickly as possible. Payment Please pay at the Teahouse counter. We accept cash and card. Purchases under 10 on card are charged at 30p. Our Etiquette During busy periods we d politely ask that tables aren t occupied for over 90 minutes. Children under 12 yrs need to be accompanied by an adult in our gift shop. Please do not bring your own food or drink to be consumed on our premises. We want you to have a lovely experience here at The Apple Tree, if for any reason you are not happy please let us know and we will do our utmost to put it right. Loyalty We like to reward you for being loyal to us, so please ask about our generous loyalty card scheme. Drop 4 Drop We feel that it s our duty to give to the less fortunate therefore we have introduced a 30 pence tap water charge - optional. We are saving for our own fresh water pump to be installed in Africa via the Drop4Drop Charity. All donations are welcome in our watering can donation tin on the counter. We are hoping to have an Apple Tree Water Pump in a village by the end of We are passionate that it s a human right to have access to fresh running water and we hope you ll support us. Did You Know? On Monday 24 th October 2016 we won best Tearoom in the east Midlands at the Food awards England. We we re also a top 3 finalist for best tearoom in the Derbyshire Life Food awards last November. We source our ingredients daily and locally supporting independent Derbyshire Butchers, Bakers and Candle Stick Makers. We make our own cakes and bakes daily and have some very talented bakers. The biscuits served with your hot drink are called fork biscuits and the recipe belongs to Lucy s Great Grandmother. We re a tiny bit famous! We were on Heston s Great British Food, featured as a hidden gem in Your Home Magazine and had two of our recipes featured alongside some amazing eateries in The Derbyshire Cookbook. Our tables are stained with Yorkshire Tea (yes really) and our china was donated by local residents when we first opened in April 2012.
