3 Who is Forever Bury? Forever Bury (Bury FC Supporters Society Limited) Forever Bury originally formed after fans meetings were held in connection with the very public cash crisis in March 2002 when Bury FC was placed into administration. Today Forever Bury has 551 members and are the proud owners of 265,433 shares in Bury FC. The Society s objective (as stated in the constitution) are as follows: To strengthen the emotional bond between the Club and the community and to represent the interests of the community in the running of the Club. To promote coaching schemes to develop the football skills of young people and to widen interest in football regardless of the gender or ethnic origin of those involved. To provide and maintain facilities for the enjoyment of professional football. To benefit current and future members of the community served by the Club by promoting encouraging and furthering the game of football as a recreational facility, sporting activity, and focus for community involvement. To acquire an interest in the Club, or any success or company.the Society will promote the full, accountable, democratic and constructive involvement of the supporters in the running and future direction of the Club. To represent those interests through democratically elected supporters representatives elected to the Board of Directors of the Club. Whilst working to attain all these objectives, we ensure a great time and sense of achievment is enjoyed by all those involved This year s Beer Festival co-ordinated by Forever Bury is produced to not only raise much needed funds, but to also provide a fantastic event and enviroment for our members, sponsors, supporters and local community to ENJOY! 4 Welcome to the 2005 Forever Bury Beer Festival To last years visitors welcome back and to New visitors, we are delighted that you have chosen to join us... and we hope that you have a fantastic day(s) out with the Forever Bury team. The Beer Festival has traditionally been run by Bury Football Club. This year the event is being organised by Forever Bury and it is our intention to make the whole festival bigger and better than ever before! All proceeds will go towards community initiatives of which we have plans in place including: sports activities for young people, various football-related projects, education for children in Bury, support to disabled and ethnic minorities, etc. We hope that you enjoy many of the special beers that have been brought to you this year. All carefully selected with the generous assistance by our very own Leyden Brewery (and producer of the Forever Bury branded beer). In taking part in this Year s festival, we d encourage you to take a look on what s to offer from some of the great sponsors that have made this weekend s event possible. Naturally, we d like to mention the Play Charlotte team with their own online lottery (well worth a visit!) and also to Northern Pet Supplies who appear on all the beer token s that you ll use to purchase a drink (or two!). 11 Fundraising One of the major roles of Forever Bury is to raise as much money as possible to help to ease the debts that still exist even after the administration period that Bury FC was subjected to. We have devised various schemes that we hope will raise considerable sums of money for us.. Forever Bury Beer The Forever Bury beer is a strong (4.5%) golden bitter and has been brewed for us by Leyden Breweries at Nangreaves who are donating 5.00 to Forever Bury for every keg that is sold The beer can be purchased in both 10 and 20 litre Party Packs which are and in price and will soon be available in bottles.
