2 The Youth hostel We arrived in Barcelona on the afternoon on Saturday, March 22nd. At first we went to the youth hostel to put our suitcases. We were welcomed. The girls were in a room separated from the boys. In the morning, at breakfast there was apple, orange and pineapple juice. We could take cereals, toasts accompanied with butter or jam. We filled well our stomachs for a long day visiting Barcelona.

3 The market of Boqueria After our installation in the youth hostel, we went out to discover the market hall of Boqueria. This market hall dates It is opened every day except Sunday. It offers an impressive variety of fishes, meat, dried fruits, fruits and vegetables... All these fresh products give slack colored, varied scents and warm atmosphere. We drank fresh fruit juice, delicious! Flavors were original: dragonfruits, passion fruits, lichee.. The market is one of the most beautiful memories of this stay.

6 The aquarium We visited the aquarium of Barcelona. There were lots of fishes : sunfish, sea horses... There were various rooms, one with penguins. Another one with iguanas. There was no submarine as in Saint Malo's aquarium. On the other hand, there was a travelator to make the tour of the aquarium for the sharks. In this big aquarium we even saw professional divers accompanied with visitors, they vwere swimming with fishes.

7 Park Guëll We visited the park Guëll on Sunday afternoon. We went thanks to the subway from Barcelona. The stop deposited us at the bottom of a long path going up and at feet of a series of stairs. We had a spare time for the visit of the park. The architecture was beautiful and very original, with its various mosaics and its particular houses. All were realized by the artist Gaudi between 1900 and 1914.

8 Our arrival to the school On Monday, day of our arrival, we met the school director who showed us Sant Antony's highschool. We saw the classes and met the pupils who were in class. The school began at 8:15 am and finished at 2:45 pm. What was the most surprising was that the pupils ate sandwiches at about 10:30 am and in the afternoon at about 1:30 pm and when they finished the school and went back home they ate again.

9 The Spanish snack When we arrived at the secondary school, after the visit, we had a snack to welcome us prepared by pupils. There was some bread on which tomato had been rubbed and some olive oil had been spread. It is a typically Spanish dish. The bread was accompanied with cooked pork meats: some ham, sausage. There were also spits of fruits: mango, orange, pineapple, pear... There were drinks: orange juice, apple juice, grape juice.

10 The mosaic After our visit of the school, we participated to a plastic art activity. We had to make a fresco composed of various squares of clay. The ended and cooked fresco will represent a table with food of the earth and the sea. It was in relation to the subject of Comenius: the food. The important was to be next to the persons having the pieces of the puzzle which followed each other. It was necessary to insure a continuity in the drawing. This activity allowed to create link and to get acquainted with the various partners Comenius.

12 The reception of the mayor On Monday evening, the mayor welcomed us to the city hall. One part of his speech was in French, Italian, Turkish, Spanish and finally in English. He welcame us in their village which is called Sant Anthony des calonge. Their city consists of two villages: Sant Antoni and Calonge. The local television channel was present to film the event. After the speech, there was a sideboard with drinks and typically Spanish cakes for Easter.

13 Museum of fishing On Wednesday we went to visit the museum of fishing with Spanish pupils. We prepared a typically Spanish dish: Rossejat of fideus, with noodles returned in olive oil and cooked then in the juice of fishes. We emptied fishes ourselves. They were any sizes big and small. During the cooking the fishermen with whom we had prepared the dish show us a movie to make us be conscious of the importance to eat any sorts of fishes in order not to exhaust natural resources. Then we tasted the dish with the ailloli (Spannish mayonnaise with garlic).

15 Museum of the chocolate in Barcelona It is a museum of 600m2 where there are chocolate sculpturs (ex : Lionel Messi, Asterix, Chicken Little) There are various machines to work the chocolate ex: the roasting, the machines of grinding and the machines of mixture. Most of the statues are rather old. They are between 4 and 50 years old. Some are made with colouring agents, it allows to give colors to the sculptures. We were hungry!! We realized lollipops in chocolate: white, black, and chocolate milk. We used a pastry bag to make the shape of the lollipops. We could decorate them with marshmallows, coconut powder, peanuts... During the visit of the museum we put the lollipops 20 minutes in the refrigerator. Then we came to pack them and to eat them of course!
