Quirch Foods was founded in 1967 as E&G Trading by Guillermo Quirch Sr. and his two sons, Eduardo and Guillermo Jr. The Quirch family s involvement in the food industry dates back to the early 20th century when Guillermo Sr. managed a meat packing and distribution company in Havana, Cuba. Our company is family owned and directed by the third generation of the Quirch family, and is a certified Minority Business Enterprise. the Caribbean, with a customer list that includes independent and chain supermarkets, food service distributors, processors and manufacturers, cruise lines, and restaurants. Quirch Foods has been ranked by the Hispanic Business Magazine in the top 10 Hispanic businesses in the U.S., by measure of revenue. We are also ranked among the top 50 exporters in the U.S. What began as a small family outfit with five employees, has become a major wholesale distributor with 5 distribution centers in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, and over 500 employees. We work closely with all the major ocean liners and we offer competitive rates to/from North, Central and South America, the Caribbean as well as Asia and Europe. Our Logistics department can handle cargo from any of our distribution centers or directly from the supplier to your door. Our experts can help with your consolidations as well. We work together with USDA, USDC, Florida Department of Agriculture and other government agencies to generate all forms of health certificates, free sale certificates, chambers of commerce, and others. We also acknowledge the growing need for a diversified procurement program, which screens products for sustainability by our Quality Assurance team. This is the reason why we have established a purchasing policy geared towards sourcing products from responsible producers and farming operations. We purchase our products from suppliers and farms managed in a responsible manner and rely on competent national authorities that employ science-based management approaches to ensuring sustainable harvests.

17 Quality Assurance Quality Assurance Team has over 50 years combined experience in food safety and compliance, quality and social responsibility. Quality Assurance, Compliance & H.A.C.C.P. Certifications Our program consist of: HACCP based Food Safety Controls. In bound product inspection. Yearly third party audit for safe food handling based on stringent International guidelines as recognized by GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative). SQF Certified at Level 2 on all 5 Distribution Centers. On-site inspections by USDA and USDC. Traceability (One up / One down) every case. All Imported products and domestic shipments are required to have electronic Supply Chain Temperature monitoring devices. Supplier Inspections Our QA Management Personnel performs on-site inspections and food safety audits of our overseas suppliers yearly. We inspect facilities all over Asia and the Americas and assist these suppliers in bringing their operations into compliance with HACCP and other recognized food safety management programs to include compliance to the Food Safety Modernization Act. The cost is significant but this is a sound investment for us to ensure that the products we procure are safe and wholesome.
