Bartel Pritchard Square Brooklyn, Wednesday, Year Round, Sunday Seasonal Stalls in peak season: Wed 7, Sun 9 Opened: Wed 1996, Sun 2012 Products unrepresented: Wed: mushrooms, pickles; Sun: milk, cheese, pickles. Location: Prospect Park West at 15th Street; inside southwest entrance of Prospect Park, Producers set up alongside their vehicles. Clientele description: local residents of Park Slope, Windsor Terrace, and South Slope. Wednesday caters to the morning rush hour crowd,. Additional Comments: a dedicated customer base of both long-time residents and new families, who come to the market every week to shop, share recipes and socialize. Location: at the intersection of Court & Montague Streets, on a plaza in busy downtown Brooklyn Clientele description: Tuesday and Thursday is predominantly workers from the municipal buildings and courthouses, and people passing through the neighborhood. Saturday has a great community feel, with primarily neighborhood residents from Brooklyn Heights, an elegant historic district. It's is very popular with a group that practices Tai Chi in the park each morning. The first year had some operational challenges. We are working to change the street cleaning signs, and get earlier access to the storage area. We will continue outreach to the community to further reduce public smoking around the market. Clientele description: midtown professionals from neighboring office buildings, along with a significant number of tourists. FMNP low. Additional Comments: A very festive market. Rockefeller Center supplies canopies. While a short season, this market can be a good venue for marketing and increasing name recognition for some products. Must be willing to deal with very strict market logistics, and must commit to the entire span of the market. Grab-and-go items are popular.
