Located at 2015 Michigan Avenue in Corktown - creative takes on udon, rice bowls, and shareable plates top the menu at this modern Japanese noodle shop in Corktown. Playful light fixtures, light oak communal tables and industrial style chairs round out the snug and causal setting. Detroit s Eater Restaurant of the Year and Chef of the Year for The Best New restaurant ranked by Thrillist in Located at 1400 Michigan Avenue, a traditional Italian joint in the heart of Corktown that also boasts a backyard with bocce ball. They make tasty Neapolitan style pizzas cooked in a brick oven, fresh pastas with house made sauces, shared plates, and traditional Italian classics served in a friendly warm environment. Located at 1800 Michigan Avenue Bobcat Bonnies is Corktown s neighborhood gastropub. Its mission is to provide high quality, inviting service within a clean fun and welcoming atmosphere while serving fresh, upscale food at a friendly price. Located at 2520 Michigan Avenue opening in Detroit in March of 2016, the restaurant originally known as Katoi began as a food truck in The food is inspired by (not identical to) the pantries and markets of Thailand and Southeast Asia and everything is served family style. The small, energetic vibrant space has national recognition. One of Detroit s leading mixology bars, this hip Corktown spot uses eclectic spirits and mixers to make inventive and delicious drinks. Located at 2130 Michigan Avenue the interior ensures a constant flock of regulars, aided by the antique hunting lodge décor with a dim sultry ambience. Chef Kate Williams opened a modern American restaurant and bar in Detroit s historic Corktown neighborhood in 2017 at 1426 Bagley St. The menu demonstrates a passion for knowledge and technique, with special emphasis on freshness and creativity. Also reflecting a strong commitment to community sourcing and support of Michigan farms. There is a focus on whole-animal butchery done in-house. The menu contains a variety of small plates and a few larger plates designed for sharing. Found in 2012 by a Canadian couple, the homey Corktown lunch destination where ingredients are sourced fresh from Detroit s urban farms, uses environmentally sustainable practices and supports community growth. Located at 1266 Michigan Avenue the Brooklyn Street Local is dedicated to serving good, honest food in an environment that is warm, relaxed and welcoming where customers are treated like friends. Menu ranges in items for vegans, vegetarians and carnivores alike. Interior has all the marks of an American diner but the stylish outdoor patio calls to mind the industrial cityscape of Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located at 1236 Michigan Avenue, the Detroit Institute of Bagels is Corktown s home for baglemaster Ben Newman s bagel sandwiches. This space is perpetually bright, airy, and beautifully tided in honor of the most important meal of the day. Established in 2012, DIB is much more than a bagel factory they offer made to order breakfast and lunch sandwiches, as well as, a soup of the day. Located at 1623 Michigan Avenue in Corktown, along with three other locations in Detroit. Bucharest Grill opened during the rough years for Detroit and has been a mainstay ever since.
