2 FR CREW PURTON STOKE TB Pen 8-9 & Introduction: Welcome to Frome Livestock Market and this genuine dispersal sale of the quality suckler herd of Continental x cattle from Fred & Vicky Crew. The sale arises due to their decision to sell the current holding at Purton Stoke and purchase a much larger beef and sheep farm in Scotland, which will enable them to expand and incorporate their two sons in the business in the future. The Crew family have been regular supporters of Frome Market always consigning quality entries of home bred continental suckled calves and forward store cattle which have been readily sought by purchasers. The dams presented for sale today show strength and stature and can be recommended by the auctioneers. This sale gives ample opportunity for potential purchasers to acquire a very genuine consignment of livestock. In addition to this main entry we have two smaller consignments and dispersals which can be equally recommended to those attending the sale. Trevor Rowland, Auctioneer & Valuer HERD MANAGEMENT: 23 Cows have been running with the Pedigree Charolais Martland Leon and 40 Pedigree Limousin Tregoze Ivan. Most have been PD d in-calf; results of which are detailed below each entry. These bulls are also the sires of the calves being sold at foot. Dams sold as PD+ will only be warranted if 12 weeks + in-calf at the time of sale: All cows and heifers stated to be in-calf that have been served not less than 12 weeks before the date of sale and are shown to be PD+ will be guaranteed by the Vendor to be in-calf unless otherwise announced at the time of sale. However, no guarantee can be given as to the date of calving or breed of calf. Any claim under this guarantee must be made in writing, supported by a Vet certificate, to the Auctioneers within 7 weeks of sale. Any other service dates are a statement of fact only and not a warranty. Herd Health: The holding is located on the outskirts of Swindon and is subject to a 12 month TB regime.
