8 FAQ s About Hometown Elegance Events Catering Event Staffing Menu prices do not include event staffing. We don t believe in charging sales tax for staffing so we have separated out the onsite service staff so that sales tax is not applied to staffing. Staffing is billed out at $125 per employee for an average of 7-8 hours per employee Staff travel time is included in the delivery charge Staffing is approximately 3 staff per every 50 guests served buffet style. Additional service styles will be quoted as requested. Dinnerware Menu s do not include dinnerware. Due to the variety of events we service, it has become best to allow guests to select from basic disposable, elegant disposables, and real dinnerware. These will be quoted on a per guest basis as requested. Travel Charge A travel charge will be quoted based on the requirements of the event such as staffing, truck rentals, fuel, etc. Operations Charge In order to produce events off site, it requires us to bring the kitchen to you and to accomplish this there is an 18.6% operations fee included onto the food and beverage total. This covers the cost of moving our operations off site and returning everything to inventory
