2 WHIRLY INFO WHAT IS WHIRLYBALL? Apparently, there are still a few people in Northern Greenland who don t know all there is to know about WhirlyBall Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. For those people, we offer the following series of bullet points. Because bullet points offer a clear way to explain separate details. So to our friends in Northern Greenland, inuugujoq! WhirlyBall combines lacrosse, hockey, basketball, and bumper cars in a game of skill, chance, honor, and vengeance. Basically, players use hand-held scoops to pass a whiffle ball to each other and ultimately at a scoring target. But while the score certainly matters to some, most people find themselves preoccupied with making their friends look silly. Players must be at least 4 6. We wish to remind you that much like certain types of film, WhirlyBall is not intended for children. So what could be more perfect when welcoming the kids into adulthood? Some athletes prefer to compete on an empty stomach, in an attempt to be lean and mean. Most WhirlyBall players eat chicken wings, in an attempt to be fat and happy. All games are monitored closely by trained referees. Sometimes it s fun to chuck a ball at one of them, just to keep em honest. Most WhirlyBall enthusiasts prefer actions to words, so we ll make this brief. It doesn t matter if you re having a bachelor party, birthday party, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, or business meeting. Everybody loves WhirlyBall. We can accommodate large groups of all ages, and our catering rocks. But we both know a piece of paper is never going to convince you. 15 EVENT REMINDERS THE FINE PRINT Final Guest ount A final confirmation of the guaranteed number of guests is required by 5:00 PM, seven (7) business days prior to the event. This number will be considered final and charges will be made accordingly. Otherwise, the guarantee listed on your contract will be considered the final count. Service harge A twenty percent (20%) Service harge will be added to all rental, food & beverage charges. All Food & Beverage Packages are subject to Illinois Sales Tax of 7.25%. Deposits An initial twenty-five percent (25%) deposit is due in order to confirm your event more than one year in advance. One year prior to your event, an additional twenty-five percent (25%) deposit is required. Final payment is due with the final guest count. ancellations If a cancellation occurs more than thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled event date, any deposits made shall be nonrefundable, forfeited in full and the ontract shall become null and void. If a cancellation occurs within 30 days of the scheduled event date, any deposits made shall be nonrefundable, forfeited in full and the full ontract amount shown shall become immediately due. WhirlyBall will not be held liable for event cancellations due to acts of nature, terrorism, power interruption or any other circumstance beyond WhirlyBall s control. Liquidated damages are limited to deposits received by WhirlyBall from the ustomer. Terms of Payments WhirlyBall accepts all major credit cards for final payment. If a credit card is being used for final payment, the cardholder must be present with the credit card, unless alternative arrangements have been made. You may also make your payment on our secure server at Parking omplimentary parking is available in the lot immediately to the East of the WhirlyBall enter as well as to the South. Valet Parking available upon request. Minimum Guarantee Private events are subject to food and beverage minimums based on the required event space and are available upon request. Audio/Visual WhirlyBall is happy to provide audio-visual support for your function. Our High Definition Screens and Flat Screens are available to show your Montage, Live feed or Logo during your event at no additional charge. Stage Setup for Band/DJ Setup of the Staging area for your entertainment which includes rearrangement of tables to clear the area for a dance floor and in-house surround sound support is complimentary when the minimum food and beverage guarantee is satisfied. Event Lighting Intelligent lighting system which can by synchronized to your music is included with your event. Miscellaneous harges Guests are required to secure management s approval before bringing in any outside food and/or beverage. If guests choose to bring their own wine, there will be a $15.00 per bottle (750 ml) corkage fee, where applicable. Finalizing Details for Your Event WhirlyBall requests a meeting of all Vendors for your Event one week prior at the WhirlyBall facility to address any final concerns, details, or technical aspects of your event.
