California continues with limited volume, but volume should increase further into March. Quality is good. Asparagus Supplies have slowed down out of Mexico due to cold weather. Markets are higher. Overall quality is good. California product remains limited. Bell Peppers Green bell supplies have dropped due to cold weather out of mainland MX and quality is good. Red and Yellow bells volume has also been affected by the cold weather out of Mexico causing markets to rise. Overall quality is good. Blueberry supply has been steady from both Mexico and Chile; supply, quality and price should remain steady over the next few weeks. Blackberries and raspberries have lower available volume at this time and for the next few weeks with cooler temps expected in Central Mexico & California regions. Broccoli & Cauliflower Broccoli market is experiencing a supply shortage from all regions on broccoli. The much colder weather is the direct result of the shortage. Also We will still see much colder than normal temperatures for the next 10 days. The market is trending much higher. Quality remains relatively good with decent crown size, minimal yellowing, or decay. Cauliflower market is extremely active. The cold weather in Yuma and Santa Maria has significantly slowed growth and supplies. The quality has also suffered with black spotting, brown discoloration / bruising. The supply gap will last two to three weeks as we hope for warmer weather.

Citrus Lemons: Lemon market is very active.

The Central Valley crop has just begun to harvest and pack.

Demand is exceeding supplies on 165s and smaller and will continue into February.

Percentage of 113s/138s continue to fall off in pack outs.

Larger sizes are peaking for the balance of the navel season.

Leaf Lettuce & Iceberg Onions Potatoes The Norkotah variety is finishing up for the

Small fruit will be in short supply all season. Leaf Lettuce & Iceberg Onions Potatoes The Norkotah variety is finishing up for the season. The Burbank variety is peaking on 70ct and smaller spuds. Quality is good. Washington is expecting to pack until the middle of April. California has good quality on all varietals, and are peaking on A size potatoes. Squash Idaho will continue to ship storage onions until the end of April. Quality has been good, with a slight amount of translucent layers because of the freezing temperatures. Supplies are limited on zucchini and extremely limited on yellow squash. Squash is currently in transition from the winter to spring crop and colder weather has slowed down the crops progress limiting supplies. Markets are high and quality is good. Iceberg Lettuce: The cold weather has caused multiple defects to occur with this commodity. Frost damage, brown blight, decay, mechanical and misshapen heads are being reported. Supplies will be up and down for the month of March as the gap in production we were expecting has started. Leaf Lettuce: Light supplies are expected for the next two weeks minimum followed up by inconsistent production for the rest of the month of March. The gap that was anticipated is here. This market is active and expect stronger markets next week as well. Temperatures in Santa Maria/Oxnard as well as Yuma will have low temperatures in the 30s-40s. Tomatoes Tomato supplies out of Central Mexico have decreased. Prices have increased and quality remains good. Demand on Vine ripes out of mainland MX has increased causing markets to rise. Roma supplies have tightened up with demand increasing causing markets to become active. Supplies on grape & cherry tomatoes are steady. Quality is good.
