1 1 An important year for the Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG wine, which celebrates 25 years at Enologica A goal that not only involves the famous Umbrian wine, but also stands for the unity and the strength of this region, strongly characterized by deep-rooted past and history. In fact, even though Sagrantino was granted DOCG status in 1992, it has ancient origins. At the 2017 edition of Enologica, visitors will be able to discover the most important moments in the history of Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG wine and learn about its many facets, thanks to producers, historical memories of Montefalco, cooking shows and vintage wine tasting. A unique event for the city of Montefalco, organized by the Consortium for the Protection of Montefalco Wines, the Municipality of Montefalco and the Association Road of Sagrantino ; an event dedicated to the production of wine in Umbria and, in particular, of Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG wine, which celebrates 25 years since receiving DOCG status. Sagrantino rightly became one of the world s top wines, and, during the last edition of the event, it was at the centre of an interconnected system characterized by a unique history made up of passion and people, with a view to sustainability and quality, which has always distinguished Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG and the other wines of Montefalco.

After five hundred years, a surprising truth emerges about emperors, popes, great artists and captains of fortune, but above all, strong humble women. The setting: Montefalco and Umbria. It may seem a novel, but it is a true story. These events are open to the public on reservation.
