Rosehill Wine Cellars Toronto Just as a great wine is the culmination of a long series of steps governed by talent, tradition, and expertise, so too is a great wine cellar.

Under the Rosehill banner, owner Gary LaRose leads a construction firm which designs and builds custom cellars in private homes, clubs, and restaurants.

A masterfully constructed wine cellar combines the right materials and cooling equipment with expert design, fabrication, and installation. Under the Rosehill banner, owner Gary LaRose leads a construction firm which designs and builds custom cellars in private homes, clubs, and restaurants. The construction operations are supported by Rosehill s dedicated state-of-the-art wine rack manufacturing facility, and a retail store/showroom that offers the wine service items and accessories. In the mid-90s Gary was involved in high-end interior renovations and was engaged to do some work for Wine Access editor David Lawrason. During the course of the home renovation, David introduced Gary to the joys of tasting and the curatorial aspects of building a collection. Gary soon found himself enrolled in one of David s wine courses. This course was a turning point in Gary s life, and he fell in love with the kinship, the discussions, and the experience of enjoying wine with likeminded aficionados. This new appreciation led to an epiphany to combine his passion for building and his new-found passion for wine. From this combination Rosehill Wine Cellars was born, and a new direction in design and construction of custom wine cellars began. Gary now firmly believes that you can only build great wine cellars if you have extensive construction knowledge and an understanding of the sensitivities of wine storage. Top right: A focal point is created by the use of a barrel ceiling and open niche on the back wall. All Heart Redwood racking has interesting details with pilasters and trim. Their subsidiary, Rosehill Wine Racks, is a dedicated 15,000-square-foot factory where computer-aided manufacturing brings dream cellar scenarios to life.
