2 Napa Sites Notes Napa Lighted Art Festival have budgeted for all technical equipment to be provided at each site. If you wish to provide elements of your own technical equipment as part of the installation, this is possible but only in conversation with our technical team. The notes next to each photograph reflect the equipment that we have earmarked for this site. We are happy for the artists to suggest other technologies and to propose that in their submission. We are open to new technologies or uses of technologies that are new or unusual. 2

4 Wine Train Site 1 The train carriage is owned by the Napa Valley Wine Train. The interior is completely empty and the seats have been removed. 2 x video projectors and media server. The windows of the carriage will be filled in with screen material to create a projection surface. 4

5 Vintners Collective Front Site 2 Known as the Sam Kee Building after Sam Kee who ran a laundry service here in 1937 the building was used for laundry services until the 1970 s. Vintner s Collective is a hub for tasting wine from small producers. Video projector and playback. 5

7 Blue Note Site 4 Blue Note Napa is a live music jazz club venue occupying the first floor of the historic Napa Valley Opera House Video projector and playback. 7

Beckstoffer Building Site 5 While not Napa s first newspaper, the Napa Register is without a doubt Napa s longest running and most influential daily.

The building at 1202 First St. is today the site of law offices and a restaurant, but for most of the 20th century it housed the Napa Register s printing press and newsroom. 10 Wells Fargo Site 7 A bank has been located at the northwest corner of Main and Second for over 140 years. The building that is today Wells Fargo Bank has been firmly at the center of Napa s financial life for nearly as long as the City of Napa has existed. The completed Beaux Arts style building was most notable for its striking ceiling covered in floral designs. Video projector and playback. 10

13 Napa Historic Mill Silo Site 10 The Hatt Building and the Napa Mill Complex, constructed between 1884 and 1887, are Napa s oldest large brick industrial buildings. Video projector and playback. 13

15 Presbyterian Church Site 12 The landmark First Presbyterian Church sits at the corner of Third and Randolph Streets in Downtown Napa. Since its construction in 1874 it has stood as a truly unique example of Victorian Gothic Architecture, notable for its ornate spire and striking stained glass windows. Built by architects R.H. Daley and Theodore Eisen, the building achieved landmark status in Video projector and playback. 15

16 Goodman Library Site 13 The Goodman Library is one of the oldest continually occupied library buildings in California. Built between 1901 and 1902 through a donation of land and money by local bank magnate George E. Goodman, the library offered a permanent solution to Napa s struggle to find a home for its free library. Video projector and playback. 16

17 Riverfront Green Site 14 The Riverfront Green is across the river from downtown Napa and links Napa to the Oxbow District. We require a large scale light installation here to create a landmark gateway to the festival area. Large scale SpaceCannon type lighting installation. 17

18 Stone Brewery Site 15 The Stone Brewery is visible from downtown Napa and lies between downtown and the Oxbow district. We would like an imaginative lighting or gobo lighting scheme for this building to be seen from Veterans Park. Traditional lighting and control. 18

20 Riverfront Promenade Site 17 This is a extended walkway along the river. It is around 250 yards long and has several small areas to install artworks. We would like to commission a light sculpture for this space that will take advantage of its extended length and create a promenade opportunity. 20

22 China Point Park Site 19 China Point commemorates the role of Chinese immigrants in the history of California and with the Napa Valley wine trade. We would like to commission a light sculpture for this space. 22
