At the turn of the last century, 394 Collins St (corner Queen St) was home to The Bank of Australasia. Built in 1876 from New Zealand Omaru stone, with ornate metal balustrades, this opulent site is listed with the Australian Heritage Commission and the National Trust of Australia as a heritage site. This beautiful & ornate building played an integral part in Melbourne s economy during the Gold Rush and the great depression, making this space a true Melbourne icon. It s one of the few surviving buildings that was not lost to the wrecker s ball during Collins Street s redevelopment during the 50 s. Up until 1974 it was a bank. In the 1990 s, it was Sebel Of Melbourne, Accor s premier hotel brand before the days of Sofitel. Now, the upstairs of the building primarily hosts the Treasury on Collins accommodation facilities

3 The Bank on Collins was opened on the 15th October 2015 and is perfect for corporate gatherings, engagement parties and weddings. The floor plan is versatile enough to accommodate any style of event, catering for close to 700 people across both levels. This is a spectacular building and we are thrilled to have brought it back to life and restored its former glory. The Bank on Collins brings affordable luxury to the precinct and is in keeping with what we do best. The concept sits above our award winning Father s Office concept in terms of style, sophistication & menu offering with outstanding value for money in another outstanding space - you can bank on that! Detailed features include a 17-meter brass bar top, 18 copper beer taps, 3 gold wine taps, 120pax seater restaurant, and ornate detailing throughout

Lit with ornate chandeliers, this is the perfect setting for a sit down birthday or engagement dinner. This expansive elevated space can also comfortably accommodate large groups seeking cocktails followed by a seated dinner. This area is perfectly suited to a wedding or large corporate gathering offering flexibility for your guests

5 PRIVATE COCKTAIL ROOM 20 PAX Taking prime position on the Collins and Queens Street corner, you will find this exclusive area with a view to impress. This room showcases a feature artwork of a quirky cartoon from 1901, depicting the Wall Street Bubbles. An intimate space this room features luxe couches and high bar tables, perfect for drinks or small cocktail parties. This space comes to life in the evening with candle light and the outside street lights of Collins Street filing the room with a gentle glow
