2 OUR VENUES THE BANK Our newest venue, The Bank on Collins, was opened on the 15th October 2015 and is perfect for corporate gatherings, engagement parties and weddings. The floor plan is versatile enough to accommodate any style of event, catering for close to 700 people across both levels. This is a spectacular building and we are thrilled to have brought it back to life and restored its former glory. Detailed features include a 17-meter brass bar top, 24 copper beer taps, 3 gold wine taps, 120pax seater restaurant, a private dining room to cater for people, private cocktail area, 2nd champagne bar on the mezzanine level and ornate detailing throughout. THE SHAW DAVEY SLUM The Shaw davey Slum, a play on words. The name is an oxymoron and a celebration of Carlton s diverse history of a great era of Australian Culture. The Slum, as it has been termed, is unique in style, presentation and represents great value for money. In its first 6 months of being open, The Slum recieved finalist nominations for AHA s Best Theme Bar and Best Bar Service and Presentation 2014 award categories. The Slum has a retractable rooftop; 36 gold plated cricket stump beer taps; hand made concrete bar top embedded with 24-carat gold and silver leaf on the ground floor and seashells on the top floor. The full service dining room focuses on unique Australiana flavours, styled with traditional Australian bush spices. FATHER S OFFICE Father s Office is a prohibition themed speakeasy bar that has won multiple awards for theme and presentation, including the AHA Best Theme Bar Award in 2013 and 2014 and the Victorian Favourite Bistro/Pub Food in the 2014 Foxtel I Love Food Awards. Centrally located, in Melbourne s QV complex, Father s Office prides itself on authenticity, and features a charming art deco interior, with vintage pieces and reconditioned 1920 s fireplaces lining the walls as well as a beautiful wrap around balcony area, showcasing Melbourne s historic Swanston & Little Lonsdale Streets. ASIAN BEER CAFE Asian Beer Cafe is a vibrant Asian themed bar based in Melbourne Central in the heart of the CBD, was voted Favourite Cheap Eats in the 2014 Foxtel I Love Food Awards, and a finalist in the 2014 AHA Awards for Best Theme Bar, Hotel Industry Rising Star and Outstanding Community Service and Achievement categories. The vast menu is proudly farm to table, mirroring traditional Americana offerings with our own local twist.

4 THE BANK» SUITABLE FOR BIRTHDAYS, CORPORATE EVENTS, WEDDINGS, ENGAGEMENTS» CATERS TO GROUPS OF THE BANK These days, Melbourne is considered the world s most livable cities, but back in the 1850 s gold rush, it was the worlds richest city, and people thought the streets were paved with gold. At the turn of the last century, 394 Collin St (corner Queen St) was home to The Bank of Australiasia. Built in 1838 from New Zealand Omaru stone, with ornate metal balustrades, this opulent site is listed with the Australian Heritage Commission and the National Trust of Australia as a heritage site. This beautiful & ornate building played an integral part in Melbourne s economy during the Gold Rush and the great depression, making this space a true Melbourne icon. It s one of the few surviving buildings that was not lost to the wrecker s ball during Collins Streets redevelopment during the 50 s. Up until 1974 it was a bank. In the 1990 s, it was Sebel Of Melbourne, Accor s premier hotel brand before the days of Sofitel. Now, the upstairs of the building primarily hosts the Treasury on Collins accommodation facilities. 8 9

Lit with ornate chandeliers, the main dining room offers the perfect setting for a sit down birthday or engagement dinner. This expansive elevated space can also comfortably accommodate large groups seeking cocktails followed by a seated dinner. This room showcases a feature artwork of a quirky cartoon from 1901, depicting the Wall Street Bubbles. Father s Office is based on prohibition Americana in the 1920 s, when the consumption of alcohol was disallowed. Speakeasies became the place to be and underground bootleg liquor (and the debauchery that follows) thrived. We aim to give an authentic early-century Americana experience, with meticulous care paid to the small details. From our menu, to our decor, to our staff, we can ensure you ll never have an experience quite like the Father s Office experience Please note: dependant on the area booked, guests will be required to order drinks at the bar

18 THE DINING ROOM Our dining room features a pressed metal ceiling, art deco inspired wall sconces and decanter lighting. The private use of the dining area allows your function to be truly unique and personal. The area is perfect for a sit down engagement dinner with a capacity of 100 guests. We can also offer set menu options for more formal events. There is the alternative option to section off a smaller area for a more intimate function. 19 THE BAR Our bar and drinking area over looks both Swanston Street and Little Lonsdale s State library. Fitted with raw copper pipes mounted on the ceiling this exclusive area includes booths, tables and couches. It features cinema chairs and tables lining the Swanston Street side of the bar. This area is a great space to catch up with friends for a casual drink, or celebrate any occasion with a smaller group. Comfortable booths are permanantly fitted in our bar area for intimate functions. Situated in an old iconic building just off Lygon St, Carlton, we ve brought to life an exciting 1960s themed bar with a unique Australiana feel. The name is based around a poverty report written in 1958 by two commissioners named Shaw and Davey about Carlton and the surrounding areas. Known as the windscreen survey (because they didn t get out of their cars), the report recommended demolishing large areas of Carlton, known as the slums. The name is an oxymoron and a celebration of Carlton s diverse history during a great era of Australian culture. The Shaw Davey Slum is about providing incredible value for money within a unique environment that exudes style and originality. It is the perfect space to host your or just a casual drink with friend. Please note: guests are required to order drinks at the bar, unless otherwise specified

29 CAMPBELL S SOUP Upstairs at The Slum you will find this exclusive area which showcases the brilliance of the 1960s with an homage to the great pop art of Andy Warhol, an icon of the time. 31 UPSTAIRS AREA Our upstairs standing area features high tables with wind up vintage stools and Chesterfield couches, perfect for a gathering with friends at the end of the working week. With easy access to the bar and an intimate space, it is a great place for a casual drink or a celebration with a smaller group. Food and drinks packages are available in this space.
