2 Events Central is nestled in the heart of the leafy University of Hull campus. The picture-perfect surroundings are renowned across the region for their rich natural beauty and historic architecture, with colours that constantly change with the seasons. We re just ten minutes by car from Hull city centre and next door to the village of Cottingham, so getting here is quick and convenient. A multi-functional and cost-effective setting for any event, Events Central has four venues to choose from, each with their own size, look and feel. These can be adapted and themed however you wish to meet your needs, just speak to us! Our venues are open on a daily basis and are enjoyed by thousands of discerning students who come for a bite to eat, catching up with friends, a quiet coffee or dancing the night away. We also operate events such as Bongo s Bingo and live gigs - all open to the public. Available to book for your exclusive use, find out for yourself why our venues are so popular with our students. They are all available for a multitude of uses including: Asylum (pg 4): Our 3.6m nightclub, right here on campus. Perfect for dancing, live music, DJs, parties, award ceremonies and presentations. Sanc (pg5): A brand-new, purpose built bar and restaurant space. Various seating lay-outs, sound system, pool table and a perfect outdoor decking area for al fresco eating and drinking. We can accommodate a wide range of events Scoop (pg6): Newly-refurbished ice cream parlour. Ideal for conferences, kids parties and more. Eats (pg7): Modern, colourful and casual café and eatery. A communal setting with large benches for close socialising among bigger groups. Ideal for pizza parties. All our venue layouts can be adapted to suit your needs. Please refer to our capacity table. With a potential capacity of 1000, it can be tailored to many different events. Asylum has a dance floor in both lower and upper levels of the room and can be split into two areas to create a more intimate space. It also has a fully functional bar. The area includes a front entrance with accessible levels and toilets. What s more, Asylum boasts a full PA system powerful enough to support a DJ set up with microphone access, a large projection screen and small TV screens placed around the venue. It also has a small backstage area. Previous events hosted within this space include: Awards dinners Celebratory events Conference after parties Live gigs Club nights Sanctuary is our second largest room and is accessible all from one level. Featuring a raised stage area with inputs to our PA system, Sanctuary has a large projector screen and TV screens around the room. The room layout can be adapted easily but also includes some modern fixed booth seating. It also leads onto a large outdoor decking area and has accessible toilets. Eats Italia s funky décor makes it an attractive space to visit and an ideal location for children s pizza parties with its own built-in pizzeria!

We have used both Scoop, and Asylum, and every year has been a total success. The success being down to the planning, for which the staff at the venue have been instrumental in assisting us with. I would highly recommend the various venues available at Hull University Union, and add to this the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. Why would you consider anywhere else?
