Father s Office is a prohibition themed speakeasy bar that has won multiple awards for theme and presentation most recently, the 2016 World s Best Bar award, as well as the AHA Best Theme Bar Award in 2013 and 2014; and the Victorian Favourite Bistro/Pub Food in the 2014 Foxtel I Love Food Awards. The Bank on Collins, formerly home to the Bank of Australasia, is a heritage listed building that has been lovingly restored to blend history and modern amenities. Perfect for corporate gatherings, engagement parties, private dining and weddings. Fitzroy Social honours the suburb s bohemian past and current position as an artistic hub for young creatives. Artwork was always going to be a key feature of the venue and is an important component of the overall experience. Fantastic food and an extensive drinks list makes this venue stand out. ASIAN BEER CAFE 7 Asian Beer Café aims to take you on a new and exciting experience every time you enter through the doors. It s all about the mix of authenticity and contemporary decor, with an emphasis on the details. The atmosphere is honest and modern, and the furniture is simple and rich with tradition. All interior pieces are in a worn Asian style and feature 70 year old recycled materials, including the ironwood from an old cargo ship that was sunk by pirates off the coast of Indonesia. You will discover classic pub favourites mixed with traditional East Asian flavours in our cuisine we prepare our dishes with the freshest ingredients, with an Asian Beer Café twist. Our balcony space is a Melbourne icon, featuring spectacular views over Swanston St and of Melbourne s State Library truly one of a kind. 5 CHAIRMAN S LOUNGE The Chairman s Lounge is a fantastic area for functions such as corporate events, office Christmas parties, product launches, or any kind of large gathering. The room contains 94 seats on long high tables, which are perfect for large lunch or dinner parties. This area can be roped off with security so your function stays private. 9 THE BALCONY MALL SIDE This space, located just outside of our entrance, is perfect for large meal bookings for corporate or celebration dinners. Father s Office is based on prohibition Americana in the 1920 s, when the consumption of alcohol was disallowed. Speakeasies became the place to be and underground bootleg liquor (and the debauchery that follows) thrived. We aim to give an authentic early-century Americana experience, with meticulous care paid to the small details. From our menu, to our decor, to our staff, we can ensure you ll never have an experience quite like the Father s Office experience. 16 THE DINING ROOM Our dining room features a pressed metal ceiling, art deco inspired wall sconces and decanter lighting. The private use of the dining area allows your function to be truly unique and personal. The area is perfect for a sit down dinner with a capacity of 100 guests. We can also offer set menu options for more formal events. There is the alternative option to section off a smaller area for a more intimate function. 17 THE BAR Our bar and drinking area over looks both Swanston Street and Little Lonsdale s State Library. Fitted with raw copper pipes mounted on the ceiling, this exclusive area includes booths, tables and couches. It features cinema chairs and tables lining the Swanston Street side of the bar. This area is a great space to catch up with friends for a casual drink, or celebrate any occasion with a smaller group. Comfortable booths are permanently fitted in our bar area for intimate functions. FATHER S OFFICE The main drinking area can be fitted with large couches for a relaxed function or the 33 space can be turned into a 34 dancefloor.

25 THE BANK SUITABLE FOR BIRTHDAYS, CORPORATE EVENTS, WEDDINGS, ENGAGEMENTS CATERS TO GROUPS OF THE BANK These days, Melbourne is considered one of the world s most livable cities, but back in the 1850 s gold rush, it was the world s richest city, and people thought the streets were paved with gold. At the turn of the last century, 394 Collins St (corner Queen St) was home to The Bank of Australasia. Built in 1876 from New Zealand Omaru stone, with ornate metal balustrades, this opulent site is listed with the Australian Heritage Commission and the National Trust of Australia as a heritage site. This beautiful & ornate building played an integral part in Melbourne s economy during the Gold Rush and the great depression, making this space a true Melbourne icon. It s one of the few surviving buildings that was not lost to the wrecker s ball during Collins Street s redevelopment during the 50 s. Up until 1974 it was a bank. In the 1990 s, it was Sebel Of Melbourne, Accor s premier hotel brand before the days of Sofitel. Now, the upstairs of the building primarily hosts the Treasury on Collins accommodation facilities

This is a spectacular building and we are thrilled to have brought it back to life and restored its former glory. This room showcases a feature artwork of a quirky cartoon from 1901, depicting the Wall Street Bubbles. A place where art, history, food and drink meet in harmony. The site of Fitzroy Social, 222 Brunswick Street, has a rich history dating back to its use as a Wool storage shed post WWII. Honouring the suburb s bohemian past and current position as an artistic hub for young creatives was of great importance when designing Fitzroy Social. Artwork was always going to be a key feature of the venue and is an important component of the overall experience. Fitzroy Social keeps the warehouse style with its open plan concept with additional private cocktail spaces, and a fully contained function room upstairs for 100 people overlooking Brunswick Street. Fitzroy Social promises to deliver consistency and competitive pricing to Brunswick Street. Quality ingredients are central to the food and beverage options

37 The food menu boasts meat and poultry from award winning Victorian farms, while carefully selected, award winning, boutique distilleries and breweries such as Starward Single Malt Whiskey from Essendon Fields, West Winds Gin from the Margaret River and Rogue Wave Brewing beers from Aireys Inlet make up our Beverage list. Fitzroy Social blends the old with the new, industrial with modern, the outdoors with inside. Notable features include reclaimed wood from Mornington Pier which found new life as wall panelling; copper detailing throughout; an impressive hanging ceiling to create the illusion of dining under a green ceiling; and a neon lit back bar. Australian living artist David Bromley was commissioned to create one of a kind artwork and murals for Fitzroy Social. The artwork is designed to compliment the venue and the idea that Fitzroy Social is a modern take on the classic Australian beer garden, with a funky and mythical twist. The use of mythical creatures alongside traditional pub imagery gives Fitzroy Social its unique identity, and ensures the customers discover new hidden features each time they visit.
