Dear Parents / Guardians 2017/18 Christmas Vacation Care Program The Christmas Vacation Program is now open for bookings. Bookings can be made by returning the completed form by Thursday 23 November before 6:00pm. Once you have made your bookings please check to ensure it has been received by calling the phone number or ing below. FEES Vacation Care Fees are $55.00 per day ($60 casual) flat fee - breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are included in the daily fee. Some activities, foods and excursions incur additional costs as per Vacation Care Program over page. NB: Bookings taken after 6:00pm Thursday 23 November will be charged at a casual rate of $60 as processing will begin on Friday 24 November. IMPORTANT PARENT NOTICE REGARDING CANCELLATIONS Cancellation of bookings for Vacation Care must be made four (4) business days prior to the session starting or a fee, equal to the fee for that session (including additional costs), will be charged. Cancellations ed through on weekends, public holidays or during school closures will not be counted as part of the four (4) days notice. For example: cancellation of booked day Thursday no fee will be charged if notice is given on the previous Friday. Please choose bookings carefully, substituting of booked days will not be accepted unless it is within the above timeframe, i.e. cancelling and rebooking. Operating hours are strictly 6:30am to 6:00pm. Parents / guardians who pick up their child/children after 6:00pm will incur a late fee of $20 per 15 minutes or part thereof. Parents/guardians are required to sign the attached permission form and tick for each excursion their children are enrolled in. Management reserves the right to change the program without notice if warranted. Parents will be notified on arrival of any changes. 5 I give permission for my child/children to participate in the activities/excursions I have indicated on the previous page (please tick the relevant boxes). All enrolment forms must be signed by a parent/guardian. NB: I understand that some excursions and activities incur extra fees for transport, admission fees and/or materials as per above set fee and this amount will be added to my account. January split day program is offered due to the large numbers of 4-5 year olds expected during this period. It may not be replicated again until such time deemed necessary. Medications Legislation requires all medication to be administered by staff. Parents/guardians with children who require medicine must: have the medicine in the original prescription box/container complete the centre s medication form on arrival Personal Property Children s personal property (e.g. clothes, toys, phones) are the responsibility of the child. Excursions Any parents/guardians and their children wanting to join us on an excursion day are asked to please contact the Coordinator or OSHC staff for availability and costs. NB: What to bring and wear - HAT, walking shoes where appropriate and clothes that provide cover from the sun please apply sunscreen before attending (we will reapply). Provide your own sunscreen if child has an allergy. Evacuation/Lockdown Drills are carried out during every Vacation Care period. These will be advertised prior to the date. Advertising will also appear on the Vacation Care program for your convenience. Program Information While educators will make every effort to encourage all children to complete craft and activities on the program, sometimes children do not choose to participate. We do not force any child to participate or complete tasks on time, and we will try to provide them with other activities and opportunities of interest.
