Glengoyne 10yo 40% A soft, sweet and slightly herbal 10 year old malt with a rich barley palate. Clean and dry. Dalmore 12yo 40% Toasty and coffee rich on the nose with winter spices and Seville orange marmalade on the palate. A rich and creamy 12 year old. Glenmorangie Original 40% A nose of vanilla fudge and toffee which transfer onto the palate accompanied by hints of orchard fruits. Scotland s most popular single malt! Oban 14yo 43% An easy drinking whisky with sweet, malty, fruit flavours. The name translates from Gaelic as little bay of caves. Old Pulteney 12yo 40% From the most northerly distillery on the Scottish mainland, this malt has a hint of sea air on the nose with a lightly sherried and slightly salty palate. LOWLAND Auchentoshan 12yo 40% Ripe gooseberries, sweet creamy vanilla and a hint of oak with a warm honey, smooth and delicate taste. Auchentoshan Three Wood 43% Rich, ripe dark forest fruits, like a Black Forest gâteau with a dark treacle and toffee finish. Glenkinchie 12yo 43% Soft and gentle with a citrus freshness and a mild, malty finish. Edinburgh s local malt whisky.
9 ISLAND WHISKY Highland Park 12yo 40% A great all rounder with a wonderful balance between heather sweetness and dry peat smoke. The most northerly distillery in Scotland. Isle of Arran 10yo 46% A rush of vanilla sweetness gives way to the fruits of slow distillation - kiwi, banana, melon. Classic citrus and sweet oak palate. Isle of Jura 10yo 40% A gently smoked island malt with an underlying spice which warms the palate. Isle of Jura Superstition 43% Bearing the historical Egyptian Ankh cross, this is a blend of finest aged Jura single malts creating a unique style with tastes of spice, honey, pine, and peat. Talisker 10yo 46% Intense, peppery, smoky flavours with a lingering sweet peaty finish. The only distillery on the Isle of Skye. Tobermory Malt 40% Rich island character with hints of grass, malt, gingerbread, stewed fruit and oak. Smooth, velvety and fruity with spiced gingerbread. ISLAY Ardbeg 10yo 46% Bursting with intense smoky fruit. Peat infused with zesty lemon and lime. A creamy and smoky lingering palate ending with espresso, liquorice root and tarry smoke, with soft barley and pear. Bowmore 12yo 40% A lemon and honey bouquet with the distinctive Bowmore smokiness. Warm and delicious on the palate with subtle dark chocolate flavours. Bruichladdich 10yo 46% Soft and yet big on flavour. Lightly peated with no added colouring and no chill filtering allowing all the valuable oils/flavour to deliver a truly outstanding malt whisky. Bunnahabhain 12yo 46% A fresh and aromatic nose with a subtle whiff of smoke. A light fruit and nut taste with spectacular malty sweetness. A beautiful rich and full-bodied, lingering finish. Caol Ila 12yo 43% A lighter style of Islay malt with a peaty nose and distinct floral notes. It is often described as tasting slightly of seaweed. Smoky, salty, sweet with a dry peppery finish. Lagavulin 16yo 43% A peat explosion gives way to a sweet, oily sensation with one of the longest finishes to be found in Scotch whisky. Laphroaig 10yo 40% Unique and distinctive. Powerful smoke is accompanied by a medicinal, iodine flavour. Truly unmistakable.
10 SCOTTISH GIN Mother s ruin has had a notable resurgence in recent years. From Islay to Caithness, dozens of distilleries have been emerging up throughout the length and breadth of the country, and we have carefully selected a superb range of Scottish gins for you to sample. EDINBURGH Edinburgh Gin Distilled down the stairs of 1a Rutland Place. Starting with the classic gin botanicals, the addition of heather and milk thistle gives this that inimitable Scottish twist - a true original: Rhubarb & Ginger 40% Cannonball 57.2% Seaside 43% Pickering s Gin 42% The first exclusive gin distillery to be established in Edinburgh for over 150 years. A rounded rich and warming gin, with the accent on Juniper, ideal with an invigorating slice of pink grapefruit. Daffy s 43.4% Distilled in a copper pot still, smooth and vibrant spice with oaky mouthfeel, fine juniper and Lebanese mint, to a long buttery, warm and elegant finish. FIFE Eden Mill, St Andrews Oak 42% A throwback to a bygone era, in the 19th century the most popular gin made on Eden Mill s site. This release is matured in oak-aged beer casks for a few weeks and carries hints of vanilla and toasted caramel. Hop 46% Light and delicate coriander and complex floral tones on the nose, spiced grapefruit, lime peel, bitter lemon and lime rind on the palate, then hoppy fresh citrus notes soften out to green grass meadows. Eden Mill Love 42% All in the name, in 2015 the aim was to make a Valentine s Day spirit; the famous pink gin has floral and warm berry notes. More beautiful than a bouquet of roses and more romantic than a Barry White classic Darnley s View 40% Darnley s View is made in the time honoured way by re-distilling the botanicals with a four times distilled neutral grain spirit. Principally Juniper Lemon peel elderflower angelica root and coriander. Darnley s View Spiced 42.7% Based on the classis View recipe with a selection of ten berries, seeds, peels and roots. The principal botanicals in the recipe are juniper, cinnamon and nutmeg that give the warm exotic twist.
11 SCOTTISH GIN GLASGOW & THE WEST Makar Glasgow Gin 43% Glasgow s only gin is handcrafted in small batches and distilled in a copper pot still by the name of Annie. The gin is bright, vibrant and well balanced. Hendrick s 41.4% Distilled in Girvan A distinctively light, sweet and floral Gin, made so with the addition of cucumber and Bulgarian rose to the botanicals, a slice of cucumber being the ideal garnish. PERTHSHIRE Heather Rose 40% Strathearn is Scotland s first micro-distillery, and this gins beautiful mahogany colour hides a magical secret. Botanicals include juniper, coriander seeds, orange peel, lemon peel, liquorice root, rose petals and purple heather flowers. Fragrant, floral and light, sweet yet spicy. CAIRNGORMS & SPEYSIDE Crossbill 43.8% Distilled in Aviemore, named after a native Scots bird which can only be found in the Caledonian Pine Forests of Scotland, it is a handcrafted dry gin produced uniquely. Caorunn 41.8% Distilled in Cromdale, just down the road from our very own Craiglynne Hotel. The handcrafted infusion is created by Gin Master, Simon Buley, using only the finest grain spirit, natural Scottish water and 11 Celtic botanical ingredients. ANGUS Kirsty s Gin 43% Grown, distilled and bottled on the Arbikie Highland Estate in a true farm to bottle operation. Botanics chosen by our Master Distiller, Kirsty Black, experience notes of kelp, Carline thistle and blueberry. Rock Rose 41.5% Distilled in Dunnet Bay, the gin gets its wonderful flavour from a carefully selected of local and traditional botanicals which include Rose Root, rowan berries and sea buckthorn. Rock Rose Navy 57% Limited edition navy-strength version of Rock Rose by the Dunnet Bay Distillery, made with botanicals foraged from cliffs and forests. Gordon Castle 43% From Elgin, this gin is crisp, elegant and refreshing with a lovely clean palate. Subtle notes of lavender and garden mint helps promote its clean refreshing character.
12 SCOTTISH GIN THE HEBRIDES Shetland Reel 43% Distilled with only local botanicals to create a gin that is completely unique and embodies the place where it originates, this original recipe has a hint of locally grown apple mint. Shetland Reel Ocean Sent 49% Features native bladder wrack seaweed from the coastline making a great base for cocktails. Shetland Reel Simmer 49% This summer inspired gin has a strong juniper and sweet orange nose, with a hint of liquorice flavour on the pallet. The Botanist 46% The only Islay dry gin is made up of many classic gin aromatics orris root, cassia bark and coriander. Augmented with a harvest of 22 local botanicals that are all hand-picked by the expert foraging team from the windswept hills, peat bogs and Atlantic shores. GIN LIQUEURS From the team at Edinburgh Gin come these lovely little liqueurs - great in Prosecco or simply straight over ice. Elderflower Gin Liqueur 20% Raspberry Gin Liqueur 20% TONIC WATER Walter Gregory s Scotlands first tonic, located in the historic parish of Pitsligo which stretches down to the Moray Firth coast.
