2 REGISTRATION & HOUSING INFORMATION REGISTRATION AND HOTEL RESERVATIONS The ABA has appointed Convention Data Services (CDS), a professional convention management company, as registrar and Travel Planners as the official ABA housing company for the 2013 Annual Meeting in San Francisco. CDS/Travel Planners will be the only source for ABA Meeting Registration and Official Housing. To secure registration and hotel accommodations, all participants are required to register and pay the appropriate fees using one of the following methods: Online: Fax: Mail: ABA/CDS/Travel Planners San Francisco Waterhouse Road, Bourne, MA Checks and money orders must be drawn on a US bank and in US dollars, made payable to ABA/CDS. For registration and event ticket information, call CDS at , Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT. Registration, hotel reservations and requests for tickets cannot be accepted by phone. To make changes to or add additional items to an existing registration, send an message to abanet@ xpressreg.net. Please include your CDS Badge Number on all correspondence. CDS will acknowledge your registration with a confirmation upon completing your registration online or within 72-business hours (3 business days) from the time your faxed or mailed ABA registration form was received. ABA ADVANCE REGISTRATION LIST In order for your information to appear in the ABA Advance Registration List, you must be registered by Friday, July 19, 2013, 5:00 p.m. CDT. Your registration must be accompanied by payment for the registration fee and any ticketed events in the form of a credit card, check or money order. HOTEL RESERVATIONS In order to make your hotel reservation at the ABA negotiated rate, you must first register for the Annual Meeting. A list of the official ABA hotels, rates, amenities and locations can be found on page 4 or at Reservation requests will be directed to Travel Planners when registering online at Should you choose to register and get your hotel room by filling out the attached Registration Form, please indicate your first, second and third choice of hotels. If your preferred hotel choices are unavailable, Travel Planners will be happy to place you on a wait-list for one of your choices. Please call Travel Planners at or send an message to res@tphousing.com stating your wish to be wait-listed. Wait-listed reservations will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis and as cancellations are received. Please include your CDS badge ID number in all correspondence. Travel Planners will acknowledge your reservation request in writing within 72 hours (3 business days) of receipt of your ABA registration. Hotels will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. Choice of accommodations will become more limited as the deadline for registration approaches. A credit card with a valid expiration date (August 31, 2013, or later) is required to guarantee your hotel reservation. If an invalid card is provided, Travel Planners will not be able to reserve a hotel room for you. A customary one night s deposit may be charged to your credit card days before your arrival (depending on hotel policies). Please consult your housing confirmation, which you will receive from Travel Planners, the official ABA Housing Company for your hotel s specific policy. If you are cancelling your reservation, all cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date. 5 GENERAL INFORMATION ABA CLE CENTRE The ABA CLE Centre will be located at Moscone Center West. The Centre will offer accredited CLE programs covering all areas of practice, giving attendees an opportunity to conveniently earn a year s worth of CLE credits in one central location. PURCHASING CLE AT THE 2013 ANNUAL MEETING Purchasing CLE at the Annual Meeting is easy! Attendees can register for the meeting and purchase a CLE All Access Badge for a fee of $545* ($465 for NABE/NCBP/NCBF/IOLTA registrants). This badge can be used for admittance to the ABA EXPO, governance meetings, Non-CLE programs and ALL CLE programs at the Annual Meeting, including those in the ABA CLE Centre and at the satellite hotels. Members whose primary focus at the Annual Meeting is governance, and who may only be able to attend a few CLE programs, can register for the Meeting for a fee of $195** ($115 for NABE/NCBP/NCBF/IOLTA registrants), which includes admittance to the ABA EXPO, all governance meetings and Non-CLE programs. Individual CLE program tickets may be purchased for $90 each. Discounted CLE program tickets will be available to government lawyers, judges and solo practitioners for $35 each. Law Students are admitted to All CLE Programs at no additional cost. Admittance to each CLE program will require one individual program ticket OR a CLE All Access Badge.
