It gives me great pleasure once again to write the foreword to our newsletter covering the Autumn and Winter Season 2014/15. This is my favourite time of the year, when our gardens, together with the national parks, slowly transform into a blaze of colours and provide the perfect setting for our guests to enjoy during their stay, and magnificent walks. The City of York becomes a pre-christmas shopping heaven with the many markets and festivals, and all its attractions have a unique winter feel. After celebrating our thirtieth anniversary, the forthcoming festive season gives us another opportunity to rejoice in our usual style.
