1 Bondi Bowling Club Functions Menu & Information The Bondi Bowling Club (BBC) is proud to host corporate events and special celebrations for groups. Located just 800m from world famous Bondi Beach, the club is set in a relaxed Bondi backstreet atmosphere. Groups can enjoy different spaces, including a 1930s clubhouse, verandah area and a full lawn bowls green. The indoor space can be configured to feel more intimate, or furniture moved out to create a bigger space. Bookings Pre-booking is required for groups. Groups have the option of choosing to have a bowling tournament manager to host a competition between their teams. Please let us know if you would like to book an area for before or after your bowling session. Terms A payment is required to confirm any group booking. This can be in the form of a table deposit, a rink payment, or a food and/or drink payment. Please see full Terms & Conditions at the back of this document. 2 Drink Packages The club is proud to offer one of the largest ranges of craft beers in the area. Drinks packages are available to corporate groups of 40 people or more. Please choose from one of the below options: Package #1 Package # 2 Custom Packages $50/pp 4 hours service $35/pp 2 hours $70/pp 4 hours service $45/pp 2 hours Tailored service packages. Local beers & cider: Carlton, Great Northern, Reschs, Pure Blonde & Mercury House wine: 1 red, 1 white, and 1 Sparkling Craft/local beers & cider: Breweries including Young Henrys, 4 Pines, Stone & Wood, Akasha, Murray s, Endeavor and Sydney Brewery House wine: 1 red, 1 white, and 1 Italian Prosecco Your choice of service period times, plus spirit and cocktail packages that can be tailored to your requirements. There is a minimum number of 40 people for drinks packages, individual package purchase is not permitted. Drinks packages must be paid for in advance. If your event extends beyond the selected time period, an additional $20/pp every hour will apply. If you reduce your numbers more than 72 hours before your event, the cost of the packages will be available for you to spend on the day. 4 BBQ Packages BBQ Package 1: $35 per person (Minimum 10 people) All dishes are served with a green salad. Served with complimentary bread rolls. Package 1 also comes with 2 side salads. Choose your protein (pre order): Black Angus sirloin Atlantic salmon fillet Wagyu beef, caramelised red onion & and garlic sausage Berkshire pork cutlet Vegetarian sausages or BBQ halloumi (V) Choose from two salad options below: Potato salad w/ seeded mustard and chive Red cabbage slaw Pasta salad w/ red pepper salsa Heirloom beetroot with goat s cheese and orange Roasted Pumpkin, salted macadamias, quinoa, Spanish onion, chickpeas, marinated feta, charred mandarin vinaigrette (Recommended inclusion if you have vegetarian guests.) Optional addition: Thirlmere chicken (Feeds 4 people) - $30 per chicken Meat and salads are served separately, for guests to help themselves. 6 Barefoot Bowling A game of lawn bowls is the highlight of the day! By arrangement, a bowling competition manager can help run a competition for your group. He'll give instructions on how to bowl, set up teams, then run a competition over the afternoon. We recommend you bring prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd teams and a novelty prize (e.g. best dressed, worst bowler or whatever you think). For example, if there are 4 persons per team, there would be 12 prizes in all plus 4 novelty/boobie prizes. (A pre organised competition or 'prizes' are not essential for a group but it does make the day more fun.). Please enquire for more details. (02) bookings@bondibowls.com.au 6

7 Exclusive Area Hire The club offers different spaces that may be hired exclusively for your group. Please enquire for a quote; Entrance tables (red umbrella tables) the row of entrance tables facing the member s green Hall & piano lounge inside area Verandah along the side of the lawn bowl rinks Please note that as a member s club, the venue must always be open to the public. We therefore cannot close for private events, but we can hire areas exclusively. The public will still be allowed on the premises. (02) bookings@bondibowls.com.au 7

8 About the Club As a bowling club, all guests are required to sign in on arrival. Guests living within a 5km radius of the club will need to be signed in by any existing member, or become a member themselves. Guests from outside the 5km radius can sign in directly as a temporary guest. Therefore it is recommended that if you are over 20 people, a guest-list be provided prior to the event with all guest names and addresses to allow entry to the Club without sign in. Social membership will also be available to guests. The Club is convenient located just a block from to two main bus routes (387, 389) that go direct to Bondi Junction station. 9 EVENT TERMS & CONDITIONS Confirmation & payment Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of these signed Terms & Conditions and the requested deposit. All catering orders must be paid in full, and guest numbers provided at least 5 days prior to the function. Bar tab / drinks packages (and any additional catering) must be paid before the start of your event by either credit card or cash. Cancellation and Refunds Cancellations made up to 4 weeks before an event will have payments reimbursed, less any costs incurred. Cancellations made with 1 & 3 weeks notice, will have retain 50% of the room and rink hire retained. Cancellations with less than 7 days notice, will have 100% of the room and rink hire and catering payments retained. If there is wet weather on the day of the event and the greens are unplayable, rink hire fees may be converted to food/drink tab, to be consumed on the event date, or for rink hire at a future date. There will be NO refund of food/catering payments or indoor room hire due to wet weather on the day of an event. Drinks packages where there has been a pre committed bar tab/drinks package and the value of that package has not been fully consumed on the date, a refund will not be given. However, under certain conditions, the cost may be redeemable. If more than 48 hours notice is given to cancel drinks packages, the amount will be redeemable. With less than 48 hours notice or if there are less people in attendance on the day, the cost will not be redeemable or refunded. Duration of function Functions are booked for a standard duration of 4 hours unless otherwise specified, guests may need to vacate within thirty minutes of the finishing time, if there is a later booking. In accordance with licensing guidelines, all bar service will cease 30 minutes prior to the function completion time. For evening functions, last drinks will be called by 11:00pm. Sign in Rules The sign in rules for all NSW clubs apply to the Bondi Bowling Club. If you are a member of the club you may sign in your guests who are not members but live inside the 5km range. Guests living outside the 5km range may sign in as a guest of the club. For some events, the Bondi Bowling Club may organise a specific event sign in register in cooperation with the organiser, to help expedite the sign in process. (02) bookings@bondibowls.com.au 9

10 Food And Beverage No food or beverage is permitted to be brought onto the club s premises at any time (except celebration cakes e.g. birthday, etc). Minors are requested to leave the premises by 7pm if attending a function. Due to hygiene reasons, please bring your own paper or plastic plates and disposable cutlery to serve your cake/s with. Prior arrangements for celebration cakes must be made with the Club s Function Manager. Children & Minors As a Registered Club, the regulations and laws of the Office of Liquor Gaming and Racing (OLGR) and the Registered Clubs Act are applicable to all parents and guardians of children and minors while at the Bondi Bowling Club. A Minor is defined by law as any person under the age of 18 years of age. This includes babies and infants: Minors must be under adult supervision at all times Minors are not permitted in the bar area or poker machine area at anytime and not within 1.5 metres of the bar in the dining area Minors must be accompanied by an adult when using the bathrooms Minors are not permitted on any greens unattended Minors must not run around, jump or shout while inside or outside the clubhouse and should remain with parents/guardians at all times (02) bookings@bondibowls.com.au 10

11 EVENT TERMS & CONDITIONS Responsible Service of alcohol Bondi Bowling Club is committed to the responsible service of alcohol in addition to all other relevant legislation. Hosting and/or paying for a function does not exempt any patron from these requirements. Security Some Functions will incur a fee for the hire of 1 Security Guard. Fee is $40 per hour minimum 4 hours payable to the Club, which will be determined by the manager. 18th & 21st Birthday Parties Any 18th or 21st Birthday Parties will be considered for approval only after consultation with Management and Directors and if there is an acceptable ratio of older adults to provide adequate supervision. The organiser is required to cover the charge of an additional Security Guard at the rate of $200 or Public Holiday rate is $250. Security must be paid for seven (7) days in advance. Conduct of patrons / Damage & Insurance For the duration of your function you & your guests must agree to act in an orderly manner and abide by our venue regulations. You will be held financially responsible for any damage caused by you or your guests to the premises or our property during a function. The Bondi Bowling Club may request a bond payment for certain events. The Bondi Bowling Club reserves the right to exclude or eject any or all of the guests attending an event at its sole discretion, without liability. Behaviour from guests that is improper will not be tolerated. The Bondi Bowling Club will try to take all reasonable care, but will not accept responsibility for damage to or loss of items before, during or after a function.. No responsibility will be taken for gifts or decorations brought onto the premises All minors attending functions are required to leave by 7pm. All patrons including children must wear shoes and be appropriately attired at all times. We are in a residential area so please be considerate when leaving the premises and keep any noise to a minimum. Special dietary requirements Our kitchen will take care in preparing menu items, however some food products may contain allergens that individual guests may be allergic to, and the club will not be responsible for illness that may result. Decorations All decorations must be removed by the client on the conclusion of the function or at a time that has been (02) bookings@bondibowls.com.au 11

12 agreed with the club. Decorations must be approved by the club prior to the event. Clients will be financially liable for any damage sustained to the Club or its property.
