22 FAQs WHAT ARE THE APPLICABLE TAXES? All functions are subject to an 18% administrative fee and 13% harmonized tax. WHEN IS THE FINAL GUEST COUNT DUE? The guaranteed number of guests attending the event is due 5 business days in advance. Please note, unless we are notified of a guest count revision, the number originally contracted will be assumed as the guarantee. The number of meals charged will be equal to the guaranteed number, or the actual number of guests attending, whichever is greater. In order to ensure the accuracy of information, a signed and approved copy of the Banquet Event Order form is required. WHAT SERVICES AND ITEMS DOES MISSISSAUGUA PROVIDE? The following services are complimentary: Service Staff Existing tables, banquet chairs and white linens Standard table flatware and glassware Votive candles, table numbers and stands Lectern and microphone DO YOU PROVIDE REFERRALS TO MUSICIANS, FLORISTS, CAKE MAKERS, ETC.? We are happy to provide referrals for all of your needs. HOW ARE BEVERAGE AND WINE COSTS MANAGED? All beverages are charged based on consumption. We do not offer fixed price per person bar packages or individual bills. The Club offers a cash bar on request. CORKAGE POLICY Members may provide their own wine if it is unavailable to MGCC through the LCBO or a licensed agency. A $25.00 per 750ml bottle corkage fee plus administrative fee and HST is applied. Wine selections must be finalized two weeks prior to the event. Please note there is a minimum spend of $300 in cash bar sales (excluding taxes). A bartending fee of $90 will apply if the minimum is not met. HOW IS THE MENU DETERMINED? All food items are selected from our current menu package. Food items are subject to current market prices. Your Events Coordinator can assist with tailoring your selection for the best guest experience. All menu selections must be finalized no later than two weeks prior to the event. Please inform the Events Coordinator at this time of any allergies or special dietary requirements. All food must be supplied by MGCC with the exception of specialty cakes. Due to health regulations, food unconsumed may not be removed from the Club s premises. Food items will be left in the event room for a maximum of two hours as per food safety regulations. MGCC reserves the right to substitute menu items based on market availability. 22

23 FAQs Continued... IS THERE AN OUTSIDE VENDOR FEE? The only outside food item permitted to be brought in is celebratory cake or cupcakes. The per guest fee of $2.50 is based on your confirmed guest count. WHO IS MY CONTACT ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT? A Supervisor will be your on-site contact upon arrival and for the duration of your event. IS PARKING AVAILABLE? Mississaugua offers complimentary parking. Please note that Thursday to Saturday from 5:00 pm 9:00 pm, a complimentary shuttle service from the lot is provided. HOW ARE PAYMENTS MADE? At the time of booking, a non-refundable deposit equitable to the room rental is required to confirm the reservation. For Mississaugua Golf & Country Club Members, all charges shall be applied to the Member s account and the Member guarantees payment of the account. For Member-sponsored functions, payment can be made via cheque payable to Mississaugua Golf & Country Club or online via where a service fee will apply. Please note, the Club does not accept credit cards. WHAT OTHER EXPENSES SHOULD I CONSIDER? Please consider below items as common costs: If designated seating is required, please provide your own place cards and/or seating chart. If you require alternate table linens, your Events Coordinator will be happy to arrange through our third party supplier charges will be added directly to your bill with no additional mark-up. You are welcome to bring in your own linens for your event. Please note that linens are required the day prior and must be picked up the day after before 9:00 pm. Additional fees will apply if you are unable to arrange the linens delivery the day before. If you intend on having live/play back music, please note that Re:Sound and S.O.C.A.N. licensing fees will be applied to the event (see page 24).
