2 FIRST EARLY ABBOT Abbot is an early maturing, white fleshed and white skinned variety. Abbot has a bright skin with shallow eyes and produces a high yield. It has an excellent taste and is suitable for the table and home French fry market. Crops of new potatoes will be ready as early as May while larger tubers can be lifted later in the season for delicious chips and summer bakers. Shows good disease resistance and makes a superb choice for your first potatoes of the year. ACCORD High yielding early bulking variety, fresh chip favourite. Round oval white fleshed tubers. Excellent taste with potential for use as an early baker. Benefits from dual eelworm resistance and a good tolerance to spraing. Relatively low tuber numbers. SHALLOTS GOLDEN GOURMET A greatly improved 'Dutch Yellow' with better yields of high quality, golden rounded bulbs. RED SUN Attractive red tinged skin, Red Sun is arguably the best of the red shallots. Producing good yields of crisp, white fleshed bulbs of excellent flavour for cooking, salads or for pickling. LIBERTIE Libertie has been selected for its strengths in the fresh market. 12 SALAD PINK FIR APPLE Popular in Victorian kitchen gardens this knobbly salad potato has an unrivalled nutty flavour. Cooking with the skin on will retain its pink skin colour. Baking, boiling, chipping and salad. MAIN CROP SARPO AXONA Axona is related to Sarpo Mira but with even better characteristics that make it easier to grow, easier to cook and with a superb taste. Great blight and disease resistance and weed smothering foliage. The potato plants come up and fill the available space with stunning dark green foliage and eye stopping pink flowers that is untroubled by Potato Blight and other diseases such as virus and silver scurf. NEW SARPO BLUE DANUBE Has excellent overall disease resistance but, unusually for a Sarpo, does not have high resistance to foliage late blight. However, it has strong resistance to late blight of the tubers. This translated to a variety that may develop potato blight on its leaves just as it is reaching full maturity but this in no way effects its harvest or yields. Because of its rapid growth, striking form and strange tuber colour, this makes for a great project potato for kids. Once harvested, Blue Danube can be used for any cooking purposes where high dry matter is desired and it excels as a roast potato. Because of its inbuilt dormancy it can be harvested in autumn and then kept in a cool dark place right though until spring without sprouting or softening. SARPO MIRA A pale red tuber with a fluffy texture renowned for it's excellent resistance to blight, dry and floury texture which are best suited to roasting and chipping.

13 MAIN CROP PINK GYPSY Be the envy of the show bench with these attractive potatoes. Early main crop with great disease resistance. Excellent flavour. Tubers have good resistance to bruising and splitting. Trials have found good resistance to powdery scab, common scab, skin spot and dry rot MAIN CROP CARA Big-yielding variety with an attractive skin. Good resistance to blight and is good for long term storing. Plenty of size and is a good one to grow for a baker crop. Good slug resistance and excellent drought resistance as well as good all round disease resistance. Boiling, baking, chipping and roasting. ROOSTER Rooster potatoes have a deep red skin and shallow eyes. The flesh has a lovely smooth texture and it tastes as good as it looks. TV campaigns featuring Marcia Cross and Jesse Metcalfe have helped make Rooster an extremely popular main crop. A unique all rounder. Award winner. Being one of the most blight resistant potato varieties available in the UK makes them a great variety for the allotment grower. Add excellent scab resistance, combine it with great taste and you've got all the makings of an excellent all-round potato to grow at home. DESIREE The most popular red-skinned variety in the UK giving great crops of large potatoes. A good culinary potato which boils well and has a delicious smooth texture. Heavy cropper and early bulking with high resistance to drought and good resistance to potato virus Y and powdery scab, mis-shapes on heavy soils. STEMSTER A tasty red-skinned variety that produces lots of bold potatoes. Very good grown in soils that dry out quickly as it has good drought resistance. HARMONY Produces large crops of clean white skinned tubers that are very resistant to scab. Harmony is a very good baking potato. Baking, boiling and mashing.

14 MAIN CROP JELLY Jelly is a smooth skinned, long oval variety with rich yellow flesh. With medium dry matter, long dormancy and good storage qualities, Jelly has been selected across Europe in dry climates because of its drought tolerance and common scab resistance. Disease resistance appears robust with no significant weaknesses. MAIN CROP MARIS PIPER Probably the best known potato in Britain and one of the most versatile with an attractive plant with purple flowers. Oval shaped with white skins and cream coloured flesh. Baking, boiling, chipping, roasting and mashing. Roasting and chipping. KINGSMAN Kingsman was brand new for It produces big, bold, uniform tubers. It has good disease resistance including golden potato cyst nematode. MOZART Attractive red skin with yellow eyes and flesh. High-yielding crop with good disease resistance makes ideal mash, roasts and wedges. These potatoes make great home-style chips. KING EDWARD A well known favourite in the potato world. Attractive white skins with bright splashes of red. Makes the ideal roasts and baked potatoes but is also good boiled with a strong, aromatic flavour. Good scab resistance. PENTLAND CROWN Bred near to the Pentland Hills outside Edinburgh this variety produces large crops of bold potatoes. It has a good resistance to scab which can be unsightly on the potato skins.
