3 Washington State Wine Industry Research Funding Sources Washington State Grape and Wine Research Program Posters labeled with * indicate they were partially funded through this program This funding is specific to viticulture and enology with direct industry oversight. State legislation in 1981 created program and identified funding source through a state liter tax on all wine sold. In 2015 competitive program received $1.4 million in requests and funded 13 WSU projects totaling nearly $870,000. Program managed by Washington State Wine Commission Accounting and administration provided by Washington State University Represents blend of public, private, and industry funding sources Industry oversight by Wine Research Advisory Committee, subcommittee of Wine Commission. WRAC annually reviews projects and makes funding recommendations to Wine Commission Board; board approves recommendations and forwards to WSU for implementation. Program also provides seed money to leverage funding from other sources. UNDERGRADUATE POSTERS 1 VIRUS AND NEMATODE MANAGEMENT IN GRAPEVINE FOR REPLANT PREPARATION Primary Author: Ashley N.
