In 1955 the Provence Cru Classé system was established, this was well before the area was given formal appellation status (1975). The consumption of this blushing wine has tripled since the nineties with France being the largest producer of rosé in the world, and Provence alone producing an impressive half of this annual quantity! Régine Sumeire of Tour de l Évêque is making extraordinary wines, so it s not surprising to see this wine gracing the tables of the elite in St-Tropez, Nice and Monaco.
