2 Acknowledgements The Fun-n-Food Fest Committee would like to share its appreciation to the members of St. Thérèse. The success of this event requires the involvement of too many individuals to list. Not only is this is a great event for our parish, it is a great event for the communities of nearby Chesapeake, Suffolk, and Portsmouth. Thank you to the Church of St. Thérèse for providing the following: Over 500 volunteers Over 5000 pieces of candy 500+ pieces of Toys, Games, and Sports Equipment Hundreds of baked goods and homemade dishes And special thanks to these area organizations for their donations to this event. 3 History of FNFF For more than 25 years, the Church of St. Thérèse in Chesapeake, has hosted Fun-N-Food Fest. Fun-N-Food Fest is a family friendly two day event in September featuring exceptional food (made by our parishioners), fun games, crafts, and local talent. During these two days, our front lawn (across from Chesapeake Square, along Portsmouth Blvd.) welcomes thousands from Chesapeake, Suffolk, Portsmouth, and surrounding areas. The Church of St. Thérèse supports the community through several outreach projects, such as Oasis, prison outreach with our Christmas Angel Tree, Boy Scouts, and much more. Beyond our community, St. Thérèse supports the Maison Fortuné Orphanage in Haiti, and regularly send supplies to the poor in Virginia s Appalachian region. As followers of Jesus, nourished by the Word, the Eucharist, and one another, we are called to joyfully spread the Good News by praising God, serving the poor, comforting the sick, and welcoming all. 5 Silent Auction To participate in the Silent Auction, please register inside the Social Hall. Upon registration, participants are given a complete list of items with a bid number. Please place bids on the bid sheets using your bid number. Auction closes at 7pm on Saturday. Winning bid numbers will be posted at the registration table. Winners may pick up items Saturday evening or following Sunday Services. Those items not picked up will be contacted with additional pick up times. Our Silent Auction features memorial gift baskets and family trips like a weekend in the OBX, $500 GC to Hatcher Orthodontics, and cruise on the Spirit of Norfolk French Cafe' Entrées include bread and salad Hungarian Stuffed Cabbage Rolls Hungarian /Viennese Goulash Jambalaya Moussaka Spanakopita Penne' a la vodka Gourmet Lasagna Homemade Desserts
