REAL ALE TASTING NOTES (ordered by ABV) Brewer Ale ABV% Style Description Purity Bunny Hop 3.5 Pale An extra hopped pale ale brewed with Maris Otter, Lager Malt, Cara Pils and Wheat Malts. Then generously hopped with Pilgrim, Eureka, El Dorado and Chinook. A bold beer but perfectly balanced. Marston's EPA 3.6 Pale A refreshing pale gold, citrusy, hoppy English Pale Ale with a crisp finish. Wye Valley Bitter 3.7 Brown A classic example of an English bitter beer. Chestnut coloured with a rich white head, delicate hop aroma, malty fullness ending with a crisp bitter finish. Goat's Milk 3.8 Gold CHAMPION BEER OF BRITAIN 2017 Golden yellow nectar. Pale barley, crystal malt and oats, blend to fill the palate with flavour. Aromatic hops dance over the tongue for a gentle hop finish. Grave diggers 3.8 Dark Black and red in colour with a complex mix of chocolate flavours. The use of two different hops gives the beer a complex feel and smooth finish. Church Farm Pale Ale 3.8 Gold Crisp and refreshing golden ale, with a hoppy finish. Brewed with English marris otter malt and English admiral hops. 2 REAL ALE TASTING NOTES (ordered by ABV) Brewer Ale ABV% Style Description Slaughter house Saddle black 3.8 Amber An amber coloured conversational bitter with a distinctive 'challenger' hop flavour, not sure about the conversation after a gallon! Goffs Lancer 3.8 Golden A delicious golden ale, packed with a plentiful quantity of Cascade hops to give a light, citrusy aroma and fresh taste, and an aftertaste full of tropical fruits. Folk Ale 4 Pale Brewed with a low colour malt, this is a bitter with lots of hop aroma and flavour due to the use of four types of American hops Wye Valley HPA 4 Pale A delightful straw coloured ale with a delicate hop aroma, a hint of sweetness before a dry finish. Goffs Jouster 4 Tawny A tawny coloured ale, with a light hoppiness in the aroma. It has a good balance of malt and bitterness in the mouth, underscored by fruitiness, with a clean, hoppy aftertaste. Goffs Tournament 4 Amber An amber coloured thirst quenching session beer with a delicate floral aroma and a hoppy bittersweet finish. A lovely drinkable beer! Bank's Sunbeam 4.2 Pale Fragrant zesty ale with citrus & grapefruit overtones and a vibrant hop aroma leading to a long finish. What the Foxes Hat 4.2 Gold A full golden coloured beer with a smooth hop finish, a firm festival favourite Church Farm Harry's Heifer 4.2 Amber Quaffable session ale with a hoppy aroma. Brewed with a blend of Marris Otter, Vienna and Crystal malts, with Centennial and Cascade hops Purity Mad Goose 4.2 Pale A zesty pale ale with a smooth and citrusy finish. English Maris Otter, Caragold and Wheat malts, with Hallertau Northern Brewer bittering hops and Cascade and Willamette aroma hops. Winner of five awards. 3 REAL ALE TASTING NOTES (ordered by ABV) Brewer Ale ABV% Style Description Vicar's Ruin 4.4 Straw Straw Coloured best bitter, delightful hop flavours soften to a delicate malt finish North Cotswold Shagweaver 4.5 Pale A pale hoppy bitter brewed with a blend of three New Zealand hops. Appeals to both ale and lager drinkers alike Purity UBU 4.5 Amber A distinctive full flavoured beer with a sweeter finish. Brewed with English Maris Otter, Crystal, Black and Wheat malts with Hallertau Northern Brewer and Cascade hops Wye Valley Butty Bach 4.5 Gold A burnished gold premium ale. Full bodied, smooth and satisfying. Stout Coffin 4.6 Black Black, chewy and creamy, a first class example of what a stout should be. Tiny Rebel Cwtch 4.6 Red Untraditional Welsh red ale - a perfect blend of six caramelly malts and three citrussy American hops. Drinkability and balance makes this beer. We love a good Cwtch, and we re not the only ones Goffs White Knight 4.7 Pale A well hopped bitter with a light colour and full bodied taste. Bitterness predominates in the mouth and leads to a dry, hoppy aftertaste. Deceptively drinkable for it's strength! Boat Lane Lighter 4.9 Pale A smooth easy drinking malt forward pale ale. Unfiltered. Fallen Angel 5 Pale A sharp full flavoured pale bitter, buckets full of American hops give it a lemony edge North Cotswold Hung, Drawn & Portered 5 Dark Strong, dark treacle coloured porter, with Bramling Cross hops & a malty finish. An ale that harks back to 18th century London. Descended from brown beer, a well hopped beer made from dark roasted malt. Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild 6 Dark Dark, ruby coloured ale with a complex blend of fruit and hops leading to a pleasant lingering hops and malt finish, come to the dark side. 4 Craft Ales (main bar) & Lagers ABV% Style Description Twisted Barrel Detriot Sour City 4 Sour A dry, refreshing Berliner Weisse style kettle sour with lemon sherbet character from the lactobacillus and a juicy, mango flavour from the Mosaic dry hop Shipyard APA 4.5 Pale A classic, refreshing American style Pale Ale bursting with grapefruity citrus flavour. Purity Longhorn 5 Amber Brewed with Maris Otter, Rye, Crystal Rye and Caramalt to create a copper warming colour and hopped with Pilgrim, Chinook, Galaxy and Simcoe hops, Longhorn has both citrus and tropical fruit tones. Twisted Barrel Saison From A Hoppy Place 5 Saison Delicate, light and refreshing saison, brewed with Citra, Ahtanum and Huell Melon hops. Lashings of strawberry, mango & grapefruit pair with peppery spiciness of Belgian yeast strain. A supremely easy drinking, juicy summer brew Boat Lane Phantom Fools 5.1 Pale / Fruit A raspberry infused pale ale, with cascade hops. From a morris dancer and brewer based very close to The Fleece Inn. Bayreuther Bierbrauerei Landbier Dunkel 5.4 Dark A dark lager beer with a flavour of caramel and bread. Bottomfermented beer, robust and full-bodied in flavour, left in its natural state and dark in colour, a well balanced and extremely agreeable speciality beer. Maisel's Weisse Original 5.4 Wheat Traditional weissbier made according to the old Bavarian style with the unmistakable character of the fine cellar yeast. A naturally cloudy wheat beer with a deep amber colour. Purity Saddle black 5.8 Dark A gnarly black beer using Pilgrim, Chinook and Cascade hops to help give a full smoky and citrus aroma. The roasted malts give a taste of chocolate and espresso, smoked malt gives a well rounded finish. Kaltenberg Bavarian Lager 4.2 A genuine Bavarian Royal Lager, named after Kaltenberg Castle built in Kaltenberg beers are strictly brewed according to the Bavarian purity law of 1516 introduced by The Princes of Bavaria, who also gave the world Oktoberfest and Bier Gardens. Warsteiner Pilsner 4.8 Germany's leading premium pilsner brand. Founded in 1753 in Warstein, in the middle of the Arnsberg forest. The forest's natural water reserve (Kaiserquelle (Kaiser's Spring)) and the extra soft water feeds the Brewery's water tanks, giving its unique taste. 5 CiderMaker Cider ABV% Style Description 2018 CIDER TASTING NOTES (ordered by cidermaker) Cuckoo Penny 4 Fruit Yorkshire Triangle Timperley Rhubarb Juice combined with Herefordshire Cider to produce a taste of the English Countryside. A medium cider with the subtle tart of rhubarb juice. Lilly the Pink 4.5 Medium A medium fruity cider gorgeous pink hue made from 100% cider apples on the Herefordshire farm intense fruity aroma very drinkable!!! Ruby Tuesday 4 Fruit A 100% Herefordshire Cider liberally imparted with British Raspberry Juice gorgeous colour and a wonderful taste of fresh raspberries and cider lovely aroma of crushed raspberries and apples on the nose. Slack Alice 4.6 Medium A medium well rounded yet a little tart. A customer has described it as Great mouth feel and a lot going on on the flavour front you re onto a winner!! Thundering Molly 5.2 Medium A well rounded medium cider. Fresh and fruity with a lovely apple aroma. Gorgeous golden colour and balanced finish. 100% Herefordshire cider apples. Hairy Ferret Traditional 6 Scrumpy Clear, scrumpy style cider from a blend of apple varieties giving it a well-rounded taste. Made in Stratford Hogan's Harvest Press 5.3 Medium Dry A distinctively fresh bittersweet, still, cloudy cider. Appley aroma with peaty undertones, this medium dry cider is just challenging enough to be easy drinking. Hogan's Hazy Rays 3.9 Medium A deliciously light, fruity and moreish fresh pressed hazy cider. An abundant appley aroma to the nose and more than a hint of citrus and berry and apple sweetness. Hogan's Lonely Partridge 5.8 Perry A still, authentic perry is a cloudy and fruity drop. A labour of love, made for those who know & love it, ready to surprise and delight those who have yet to try. Hogan's Panking Pole 6.2 Dry A cider for those in the know. Authentic, traditional, strong, complex and dry as a bone. Just how we like it. Hogan's Pickers Passion 5.3 Medium Dry A delicious, easy drinking, medium dry cider with a warm honey color and distinctive appley aroma, combining rich peaty undertones with the fresh taste of bittersweet apples.
