GOLD COIN DONATION PER EXHIBITOR PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MOLLY MAKIM PAVILION WILL CLOSE AT 5.45PM ON SATURDAY AND RE OPEN FOR COLLECTION AT 6.15PM.THIS INCLUDES COOKERY. Entries taken at the Molly Makim Pavilion, on Wednesday 29th April between 12 noon and 3pm and Thursday 30th April 2015 between 9 am and 12 noon. Please fi ll out an ENTRY Form found in the schedule or attach name and class with each entry. THANKYOU. Judging at 1pm. Plates are provided (plain White only). PLEASE mark clearly if your cooking IS FOR SALE OR NOT. No responsibility will be taken. Trophies, prize money and cakes to be collected at 6.15pm in the pavilion on Saturday, 2nd May. Any entries not collected by 6.30pm become the property of the Goondiwindi P & A Society to dispose of at there own discretion. Only Two entries per class allowed and must be of two distinct batches. HINTS FOR SHOW COOKERY - Show cookery is judged on taste, texture, neatness of entry as well as etc. Scones - dust off excess fl our. Cool cakes on a tea towel, not directly onto a wire rack. Icing for cakes pale not bright, except chocolate. Apply a thin layer and don t use decoration e.g. coconut etc. (Unless the schedule states decorated cake). If cooking sponges or cakes that need to be cooked in two or more tins, weigh each tin and then place mixture in them, making sure you have equal amounts in each tin. SOMETHING GLUTEN FREE Can be either biscuits - six, slice - six, cake etc. Sweet or savoury. THREE WONDERS OF AUSTRALIA This is for those Failures, must look like either Lake Eyre (sunken) Ayres Rock (large rise in the middle) or Katherine Gorge (large crack.) Cake can be any size or fl avour. Maybe iced. Best Failures to win. CHOCOLATE CAKE 20cm (8 inch) round. Chocolate icing on top only. BANANA CAKE 20cm (8 inch) round. Lemon icing on top only. CARROT CAKE 20cm (8 inch) round. Lemon icing on top only. ORANGE BAR CAKE Orange icing on top only. RED VELVET CAKE round and at least one layer of white icing in centre, and on top. RED VELVET CAKE INGREDIENTS: 180 grams butter softened, 1½ cups (315 grams) castor sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 2 eggs, 2½ cups (375 grams) SR Flour,2 tbs cocoa powder,1 cup (250ml) buttermilk, 1 tbs white vinegar,1 tsp bicarbonate of soda, 1 tbs red liquid food colouring. Preheat oven to 180 C. Grease and line the bases of two 20cm round cake pans with baking paper. (You may have some extra mixture).beat the butter, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl until pale and creamy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the fl our, cocoa powder and buttermilk, in batches, until well combined. Add the vinegar, bicarbonate of soda and food colouring and stir to combine. Spoon mixture evenly among the prepared pans. Bake in preheated oven for minutes or until cooked. Remove from oven. Set aside for 5 minutes before turning onto a wire rack to cool completely. DATE AND NUT ROLL. PUMPKIN FRUIT CAKE. SULTANA CAKE 250g (½lb) mixture. 20cm (8inch). RICH FRUIT CAKE not to be iced. 250g (½lb) mixture with approximately 1125gm (2 ½lb) fruit. 78

3 Fruit used to include sultanas (whole), raisins (cut), currants and mixed peel. Nuts and cherries optional. No dates or nuts. 20cm (8 inch) square tin. (Winner eligible to enter a new 8 inch square cake at Darling Downs Sub Chambers in Toowoomba on 16th May.) Class 21 PLUM PUDDING. ¼ lb 125 gram mixture. Class 22 DECORATED CAKE. May be tiered but no higher than 30cm. Will not be cut. a. Traditional (ANZAC Tribute, wedding, christening etc) b.
