The R H S Banksian medal (winners in last two years not eligible) for the exhibitor with the highest number of points in the whole of the horticultural classes at the show excluding classes 23 to Leonard Marshall cup for the best exhibit in Classes Cup for the competitor gaining most points in Classes Mrs Stern cup for the best exhibit in classes Cup for competitor gaining most points in classes Ladies Challenge cup for the lady gaining most points in the show. 7. Alec Lee trophy for the competitor gaining most points in classes A prize to be awarded to the competitor with the most 2 nd places. 9. Victoria Sponge 18cm/7 diameter 325F (170C) Gas 3 175g/6 oz butter 175/6 oz caster sugar 3 large eggs 175g/6 oz self raising flour vanilla essence Cream fat and sugar, add eggs and vanilla essence. Fold in flour. Divide mixture between two 18cm/7 tins. Cook mins. Finish with jam and caster sugar. 60. Apple tart (max 23cm/9") with pastry top and bottom savoury scones 62. A loaf of home-made bread [not made with bread maker] decorated cupcakes to be judged on decoration 64. Tea bread baked in a loaf tin 65. Savoury flan (max 20cm/8") - named and shown on a plate biscuits - named 67. Home made fruit cordial gingerbread men, decorated for under-14s Children under 14 should state their age on their entry cards

8 Show Regulations and Notes for the Guidance of Exhibitors 1. Entries may be posted to Mrs. R Handley, 1 Court Street, Tisbury SP3 6LN, e mailed to rosaleenhandley@yahoo.co.uk or may be handed in to the Elizabeth Hall, between 6.30pm and 8.00pm on the Wednesday before the show. 2. All exhibits for competition in the horticultural classes must have been grown by the exhibitor. 7 3 Exhibits may be staged from pm on the evening before the show or from am on the morning of the show. The hall will be cleared for judging at 10.25am.No exhibit may be removed before 4.00pm. All materials must be removed by exhibitors. 4 No exhibitor may enter more than one exhibit in each class. Two or more persons may exhibit from the same garden but not in the same class. Joint entries may be made 5. The judges shall be at liberty to open and taste any exhibit. Their decision is to be final. 6. If there are only four entries in a class, two awards may be given. Where there are large entries commended certificates may also be given. 7. Any complaint or objection to any exhibit must be made to the Secretary, in writing, not later than 3.00pm on the day of the show. 8. The gardens and allotments of the exhibitors to be open for inspection by the committee before and after the show. 9. Exhibits may be named. Error or omission in naming will not disqualify any exhibitor but the judges will recognise correctness in naming as telling in favour of an exhibitor in a close competition.

Anything not covered in the rules shall be decided by the Committee whose decision shall be final, and who reserve themselves the right of interpretation in any case of a doubtfully worded rule or regulation. 11. The definition of a vase is a vessel for displaying cut flowers in water and having greater height than the diameter of its mouth. 12. Liability for loss. All exhibitors' personal property etc. will be at the risk of exhibitors and the Committee will not be liable for loss dam age or personal injury for any cause. 13. The terms used, i.e. varieties, vases, bowls, etc. are in accordance with R H S ruling. 14. Pot plant should have been in the owner's possession for not less than three months. Domestic Classes All food exhibits must be covered with cling film or similar material. Pay attention to presentation and use a dish, jar etc. that corresponds with the entry. Cordial to be in clear screw top bottle. Label with date and name of product. Labels should be plain to ensure anonymity.

10 9 When competitors have finished staging their exhibits, any unwanted surplus flowers or produce will be gratefully accepted to be sold at the show on the plant and produce stall. The Committee wishes to thank our sponsors for their generous support in donating prizes and money to offset some of the costs of putting on the show
