3 Chair s Welcome 2018 Writing this in the middle of February and looking outside at the garden, it is hard to believe that it will ever resemble anything other than a paddy field! However, hopefully, spring will make for better conditions and allow our gardens to flourish. We have worked hard this year to create an interesting variety of classes in our schedule which has again been most generously supplied and published by the Sherwood Printing Group. Please be aware of the small changes in the vegetable and fruit classes and restructuring of the plant and flower sections which has resulted in numbering changes. Our 2018 Floral Art theme is Our World. If you are a budding flower arranger please consider entering the novice class. We would also be happy to consider practical suggestions for entries in the Culinary Section for future shows. Unfortunately due to lack of entries in the Young Adult section (11 16 years) we have decided to remove this from the schedule. The upper age for the older children s classes has now been raised to 12 years. Please encourage anyone who is considering entering exhibits for the first time. Some new exhibitors last year were pleasantly surprised by their success! Much work goes into staging our show. If you feel you could help in any way, it would be much appreciated. Please feel free to contact us if you have any queries. Good luck with your entries.
