Securing support for oder peope s charities is a part of our drive to make Ange the most wecoming town centre in London. The 1000 donation means more isoated peope can be invited, transported, and there wi be more staff to get them invoved in the art workshops, music and dance. We ve invested (with 1000 of hep from the Camden Trust) in 41 hanging baskets, a dozen raiings baskets (Ange Centra and Gaskin Street), three bay tree panters (outside Ange tube and Foxtons) and two cyce rack panters (pictured, which cycists are queuing up to use.) It s a shame the roadworks are spoiing the genera effect but we re hoping that every business efforts (thank you!) and the Ange s charm have worked their usua magic on the London in Boom judges and we have some good news to share soon. They have just notched up successes in banning a persistent and aggressive beggar from setting foot Ange for three years and securing a six-month jai sentence for a reguar shopifter who threatened to stab store staff. The atest figures show the team are cearing up 43% of a reported crime here, compared to 37% earier in the year. The average cear up rate for London is 9-13%. Into Fim is competing against six others in the Best Education Project category. They ve aready beaten off stiff competition from over 1,300 organisations a record number of entries to reach the pubic voting stage. The prize is 5,000 towards their project. Into Fim is supported by the BFI through Nationa Lottery Funding, which aims to put fim at the heart of young peope s education, contributing to their cutura, creative, academic and persona deveopment.
