Please note that you have to reserve tables at the Restaurant Bareiss in good time and that it is closed from 23 rd December 2017 to 24 th December 2017 and between the 30 th December 2017 to 3 rd January 2018, as well as on Mondays and Tuesdays. Sattelei Our hiking hut Sattelei is daily opened for you days a year. As the number of participants is limited, we feel impelled to request your reservation until a.m a.m. Walk with the hiking guide of the mountain rescue service Rolf Wein: To the engagement rock The hotel bus takes us through the Murg Valley and drops us off in the small village of Schönmünzach. Here, we take natural trails and join the engagement rock, where a magnificent view awaits us. The engagement rock takes its name from a romantic story, a sort of Romeo and Juliet of the Black Forest. From this idyllic place we continue our journey on a rocky path to the Grub, where we turn towards the cabin Panoramastüble, which we will reach over a beautiful forest path. Distance: 11 km. Here we enjoy wonderful views over the Murg valley and even the hotel Bareiss, because of a storm that uprooted many trees allowing now a clear view. Continuing on slightly but steadily uphill going paths, we reach the Walterhütte where we stop for a short break. Finally we start our way back downhill towards the hotel. Distance: 8 km.
