Sattelei Forellenhof Our hiking hut Sattelei is daily opened for you days a year. From Monday to Saturday from a.m. to 5.00 p.m. and on Sunday from a.m. up to 9.30 p.m. Our Forellenhof is daily opened for you from a.m. to 5.30 p.m. We will please you with specialties around our own trouts.

We start our walk, which will lead us uphill and downhill, at the Baiersbronn train station and will pass the beautiful small chapel Michaelskirche. Distance: 7.5 km. Walking speed: 3.5 km/h. Please register a.m. Walk with Thomas Faißt: Air-gulper Leaving the hotel, we take breathless paths to the highest point of the hike: the Elme. The Ulme is also called the Elm or Elme in southwest Germany. During our snack break, we can find out whether this type of tree still grows up here. We children of Mitteltal were mostly out on the Elme in autumn to collect the prickly fruit of the horse chestnuts that were there at the time. We continue to the Bismarck Cabin and past the Kaisertanne, onto the Guldenbergwegle path back down into the valley where we reach the starting point of our walk. Distance: 9 km, medium level. Only those who know the history of the Black Forest will understand the significance of the heathlands. Distance: 5 km. Easy to medium level with one somewhat stony section.
