Restaurant Bareiss Enjoy excellent, creative cuisine from Claus-Peter Lumpp in our 3-Star gourmet restaurant from Wednesday to Sunday. Please note that you have to reserve tables at the Restaurant Bareiss in good time and that it is closed from 13 th February 2017 to 10 th March 2017, as well as on Mondays and Tuesdays. Sattelei Our hiking hut Sattelei is daily opened for you days a year. There we will toast again to the New Year and then walk over the Labronner path back to the hotel. Distance: 8 km. Walking speed: 3.5 km/h, medium level. Afterwards the historic thermal city Baden-Baden attracts with extraordinary walks and many parks and gardens. Costs: 25.-, including mountain railway. Please register a.m. Walk with the hiking guide of the mountain rescue service Obertal Rolf Wein: The far reaching views hike From the Schliffkopf we walk, always staying at the same altitude, over the path on thousand meters to the well-known Ruhestein. This grandiose path guides us over a plateau where the border between the countries of Baden and of Swabia once passed through and it now offers an impressive view, when the weather is clear, going over the Rhine plain until the French Vosges. Just before reaching the Ruhestein we turn towards the Melkereikopf from which we walk back towards our starting point, the Schliffkopf. Distance: 8 km. Walking speed: 3.5 km/h, easy level. Today you have the possibility to spend some time in the nice and fresh air of the Black Forest with driver Bernhard Wanke. The trip will only take place if the forest roads are safe.
