We love our city, know it very well and are happy to share tips with our guests if requested. The City and Old Town of Salzburg is divided by the Salzach river, with pedestrian zones on each side of the river. The Left Old Town (Linke Altstadt) is the pedestrian area on the left riverside. With its charming streets and places Getreidegasse, Alter Markt, Mozartplatz, Residenzplatz, Domplatz it forms the heart of the City Centre. Right Old Town (Rechte Altstadt), stretches from Platzl and Linzergasse (also partly a pedestrian area) to the streets to the north-west.
