One Spring day in 2014, an AVM team member took and instagrammed a photo of the monastery.

2 THE OMEN STORY IT WAS A SIGN... High on the hilltops in California sits an abandoned monastery that undisputedly has the best view of the Santa Rita Hills. It is here that Atlas Vineyard Management is lucky enough to farm what is considered to be one of the best places on the planet to grow Pinot Noir and Chardonnay Actual Instagram Photo! One Spring day in 2014, an AVM team member took and instagrammed a photo of the monastery. The photo was hauntingly beautiful so we printed it out and taped it to a wine bottle. We thought it would make a great label. Office visitors loved the bottle and excitedly asked if that was our own wine that we were making. After what seemed liked hundreds of inquiries it was obvious that it was a SIGN! We needed to make our own wine, and so OMEN was born. Today that original Instagram photo is still featured on our Sierra Foothills Red Blend bottle and it has inspired a series of other photos and wines that we are proud to offer as part of our OMEN line.

Here in the Fair Play AVA, the high mountainside and deep granite soils develop grapes for intense wines. It s astounding to us that this area has been growing incredible wine grapes since the California Gold Rush, yet it is still a relatively unknown, untapped goldmine of high quality fruit! TASTING NOTES Our Omen Zinfandel is a tribute to classic California wine history. In the glass you ll find a youthful ruby red-color. On the nose there are aromatics that range from raspberry, strawberry but are strengthened with a back bone meatiness. Rich and focused in the palate, the minimal oak treatment brings a touch of spice and baking notes. Melting tannins and great length makes for a perfect finish. CASES PRODUCED 734

Here in the Fair Play AVA, the high mountainside and deep granite soils develop grapes for intense wines. The backbone of the Omen Red Blend is an amazing Cabernet Sauvignon, straight from the outstanding Rorick Heritage Vineyard property (literally a canyon inside the mountains) in Murphys, CA. The diverse soil here is rich with iron, decomposing granite and limestone (a very unique combo in California). Yields are lower than in Napa Valley (<2 tons/acre) packing some deep concentration and depth. TASTING NOTES From spices to cassis and dark cherry notes, the complexity of the blend transcends into subtle notes of leather and dark chocolate. The mouth feel is rich with luscious and elegant tannins. A very bold and powerful wine that is still approachable and balanced. CASES PRODUCED 1455

Long, warm days accompanied by very cool nights and a very low risk of precipitation leads to wines with great depth of flavor and complexity. Each vineyard in the Rogue Valley brings unique characteristics to their fruit because of the soil diversity and high altitude ( feet). Wines coming from the right vineyards are powerful and extremely complex. More than 75% of our grapes are actually live certified. TASTING NOTES Deep, complex aromatics are accented by dark cherry and a touch of cranberry. Barrel aging lends vanilla notes and hints of baking spices to the flavor. The mouthfeel is rich and concentrated from the low yields & warm climate of the Rogue Valley. The wine has great depth yet is very balanced and finishes with a delicate soft texture. The AVA is named for the chalky white ash that is volcanic in origin, which characterizes the soils. Piziali is distinctive by its size (only a 5-acre lot) and its Northeastern facing direction, which makes it slightly cooler, thereby allowing the grapes to hold on to their acid. The soils here are very shallow which encourages a low yield - full concentration of flavor and nicely balanced acid. The 70% of the fruit that comes from Lodi is located at the northern edge of the San Joaquin Valley, east of San Francisco Bay. Lodi enjoys a similar climate and growing conditions to its coastal neighbors Napa and Sonoma. The two major rivers originating in the Sierra Nevada mountain range that feeds the Lodi appellation have brought soils rich in granitic-based minerals that lend complex flavors to the wines of Lodi. TASTING NOTES Creamy tropical fruit aromas range from pineapple to kiwi with Meyer lemon notes. The mouthfeel is smooth, fresh and balanced with well-integrated toasted oak. The 2016 Oro Bello Chardonnay is ready to drink and will keep easily for up to three years. CASES PRODUCED 2437

WAREHOUSING We work exclusively with warehouses that support The Green Initiative Fund. 100% AVA GRAPES We source only top quality fruit from AVA vineyards so that you know exactly the quality you can expect when purchasing any of our Atlas Wines SUSTAINABLE CORKS Going forward from our 2015 vintages, we are only using Diam Corks who not only have an amazing environmental policy and are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council but are also guaranteed cork taint free. 100% RECYCLED LABELS Our labels are printed locally using 100% recycled materials. And even more importantly our printer even recycles the label waste through a local partnership where they turn it all into egg cartons! FRENCH BARRELS MADE IN THE USA All of our barrels are made from French oak staves but are made right here in the USA.
