OTHER COURSES: You can combine the Spanish Language and Conversation 10, the Spanish Language and Conversation 15 and the Intensive 20, with very interesting sessions which can help you get to know various aspects of Spanish Culture: cookery, sport, folklore, music, our towns and our wines ANDALUSIAN COOKERY: The purpose of these cookery sessions is to get to know the dishes typical of our Andalusian and Spanish gastronomy. Once the recipes have been explained we go on to cook and eat them. There are two daily cookery sessions. Examples of typical dishes which you can make during these sessions: First day: Spanish potato omelette and Andalusian chilled tomato soup. Second day: A Ronda speciality, tuna and potato salad. Third day: Chilled soup from Antequera Fourth day: Russian salad Fifth day: Paella 12:10-14:00 MINIMUM DURATION:

FLAMENCO: LAS SEVILLANAS The purpose of these sessions is to learn about Andalusian Folklore through dance. 13:00-14:00 MINIMUM DURATION: One week PRICE OF SPANISH GRAMMAR AND CONVERSATION 10 + FLAMENCO: PRICE OF SPANISH GRAMMAR AND CONVERSATION 15 + FLAMENCO: VISITS TO WINE CELLARS AND THE WINE MUSEUM The purpose of these activities is to get to know some of the wine producers whose vineyards are situated in the Serranía de Ronda, as well as the city s Wine Museum. The following are included: A visit to the cellars of two wine producers of Ronda. Two countryside walks. A visit to the Ronda Wine Museum. * The visits can be adapted to the needs of each group. 3 DURATION: MINIMUM PRICE OF SPANISH GRAMMAR AND CONVERSATION 10 + VISITS TO WINE CELLARS + WINE TASTING + VISIT TO WINE MUSEUM: OUR ENVIRONMENT: THE WHITE VILLAGES The purpose of these activities is to get to know some of the villages of the Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos, their history, the surrounding countryside and to meet some of the villagers. You will visit villages such as: First day: Setenil de las Bodegas (Cadiz Province). It is a village in a striking and original setting, its houses are built under the huge protruding rockface of the cliff. Second day: Grazalema (Cadiz Province). This is an old Moorish village in the middle of the Sierra de Grazalema Nature Park. Third day: Zahara de la Sierra (Cadiz Province). This village situated in the centre of the Sierra de Grazalema Nature Park a well-known destination for lovers of sports (trekking, climbing, potholing, canoeing and cycling). Fourth day: Benadalid (Malaga Province). It is one of the villages of the Serranía de Ronda adapted to the mountainous terrain and with well-preserved old houses. Fifth day: Pujerra and Igualeja (Malaga Province). These are two hamlets of singular beauty situated in the River Genal Valley. These visits begin at 11:00.

MINUMUM DURATION: PRICE OF SPANISH GRAMMAR AND CONVERSATION 10 + THE WHITE VILLAGES : MULTISPORTS We can get to know the following Sports of the Serranía de Ronda: climbing, canoeing, trekking, potholing, vías ferratas, canyoning. These activities are subject to change depending on the weather and the different groups. This depends on the acitvities you choose. MINUMUM DURATION: PRICE OF SPANISH GRAMMAR AND CONVERSATION 10 + MULTISPORTS : PRICE OF SPANISH GRAMMAR AND CONVERSATION 15 + MULTISPORTS : PRICE OF INTENSIVE 20 + MULTISPORTS : SPANISH MUSIC. This course is for students with previous musical training who want to continue with their music while speaking Spanish. For this activity you will have an individual class with a Spanish music teacher of your instrument. You will also learn about the history of Spanish music including classical, flamenco and modern contemporary music. Timetable:

5 The history of music sessions are taught in the Spanish School for Foreigners :00: History of Spanish music. 13:30-14:30: Individual music classes with your particular instrument. Individual music classes are taught in the Escuela Municipal de Música de Ronda. In the afternoons you can also freely enjoy the following activities offered by the Music School. Corporal expression. Musical language. Choir. Big Band. The following are the instruments that you can play: Trumpet, Piano, Flute, Saxophone and Guitar. First day: Introduction to Flamenco: The origin and development of Flamenco in Spain. The influence of Flamenco on classical Spanish music. El Camarón de la Isla. Flamenco fusión. A showing of the film Carlos Saura s film Flamenco. Second day: Manuel de Falla ( ): The life and works of this composer from Cadiz, including his ballet El amor brujo. Third day: Joaquín Rodrigo ( ) The life and works of this blind composer from Valencia. We will listen to a performance of his work for guitar and orchestra El Concierto de Aranjuez. Fourth day: Modern Spanish Music: The sixties and seventies.
