3 د. حامد أحمد الغامدي Effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy in the reduction of generalized anxiety disorder Dr. Hamed Ahmed Al-Ghamdi Abstract: Taif, mental health hospital Aim : the aim of this study is to verity the effectiveness in the reduction of G.A.D among patients attending outpatient clinics in Taif mental health hospital. Sample.. twenty patients attending out patient clinics. devised into tow group. First group.ten patient receiving C.B.T only. Second group. Ten patient receiving only medication which is this control group Tools used..mental health hospital scale, prepared by Dr. Fahad Aldeleem. The therapeutic program prepared by researcher Case study form prepared by the researcher Results: 1- There are differences,which are statistically significant, between the average of anxiety scale before and after the treatment by C.B.T. 2- No statistical in differences in the average anxiety scale after C.B.T. and follow up C.B.T. among first group. 3- No statistical in differences in the average anxiety scale between C.B.T. group and control group. ١٣ א א א א د א ول م ١٤٣١ א ٢٠١٠ م
