Raised in tank for two years with no oak influence. Il Palazzone Vino Rosso, Italy 36 A declassified Brunello du Montalcino. This bottling is a blend of the 2012 and the 2011 vintages. Well-structured with firm tannins and bright acidity. Ripe and opulent in the mouth. Full-bodied. Esporao Reserva Rouge, Portugal 40 A blend of Aragonês, Trincadeira, Cabernet Sauvignon and Alicante Bouschet, matured for 12 months in 70% American oak and 30% French oak barrels. Following bottling, the wine was aged in the cellars for another year. The colour is bright but beep and dark. Full bodied, compact and elegant wine with great balance. Long and satisfying. Danjou Banessy Roboul Cotes du Roussillon 45 Villages, France A blend from old vineyards of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre. The grapes are harvested by hand, separately fermented with natural yeasts and aged separately in older oak barrels. Great purity of dark fruit on this perfectly blended cuvee nothing is out of place. Rich and long but with tremendous focus and thrilling minerality. Chateau Vincens Malbec du Cahors, France In Vino Erotico Cameleon Rouge IGP, France 26 Terrific blend of Syrah Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep dark red and black fruits with notes of blood orange and thyme. Serious structure (20% of the wines make up is aged in oak barrels) underneath the fleshy, charming and characterful fruits, herbs and pepper. Magnum Chateau Viranel Cuvee Tradition Saint-Chinian Rouge, France A blend of old vines of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Carignan. 80% of the blend is aged in tank and 20% is raised in older oak barrels. Slightly floral with touches of honey. The finish is long, highly flavoured and complex. In Vino Erotico Cameleon Vert, France 26 A rich & sumptuous, mouth-filling blend of Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Viognier. One of a small number of trophy winners at Sud de France s: Top 100 competition. Dr Loosen Red Slate Riseling, Germany 29.5 Wonderful wine from one of the masters of Mosel Riesling. It is harmonious on the palate, with a full, expansive texture and a great tension between the fruit and the acidity on the very, very long mineral finish. Godello Seleccion Bodegas Maria Teresa Nunez Bioca, 32 Spain A light floral style; think jasmine and orange blossom. The palate is balanced with very good acidity, plenty of citrus and peachy fruit and a touch of spice on the finish. Winner of the International Wine Challenge s: Godello Trophy in Domaine Gayda Freestyle Blanc, France 33 A blend of Grenache Blanc, Gris, Marsanne, Roussanne and Maccabeu. The grapes are naturally fermented with wild yeasts in a blend of new, one and two year old oak barrels. A deep gold colour, aromatic nose and rich full body with a hint of oak to add further complexity. A lot of personality, a truly outstanding dinner white. Dry Furmint MAD, Hungary 35 MAD is the name of the village in the remote Tokaj region in Hungary, one of the great wine producing regions in the world. Deep and rich with beautiful peach and pear fruit with a touch of lychee and spicy ginger notes. Incredible mouth feel, with great depth and a fresh, bright finish.
