4 2012 Show News Door Attendants We will need members to man the door between the hours of 9.00 am and 3.30 pm the Sunday. There needs to be a minimum of two members at a time looking after the door at all times. The job entails collecting the entry fees, handing out the show bags, giving out the door prize tickets and any other informati required entry. we aim to do it in e hour stints. Those able to help can ctact Kevin and Dianne or at the next meeting Josephine s RESTAURANT During the Frankst and South Eastern Wine Show and Tasting at The Briars Sunday August Lunches and Afterno Tea will be available at Josephine s Restaurant Opposite The Barn, the Wine Show venue Bookings will be taken Judging Stewards Stewards are needed to assist the Head Steward in the running of the judging sessi the Saturday of the show. Tasks include setting up the judging tables before each secti, opening the bottles and pouring the wine into the tasting glasses, then the clearing and resetting up for the next secti. Members wishing to assist can do so, by ctacting Bev Catering During the judging sessis the Saturday of the show, Judges and Stewards need to take lunch and tea breaks. We are looking for people able to help out in making sandwiches, sces, cakes or anything else you think the volunteers may enjoy. You can prepare the items earlier and deliver them Saturday morning. If you are able to help out please ctact Venessa or Peter or at the next meeting SUPPORT YOUR GUILD Supper At the end of each meeting we all like to have a chat and a coffee and something to nibble, if you d like to help out and bring a cake, a slice or maybe some biscuits now and then, this would be a great help and save dipping into the Guilds funds to supply supper each meeting. Wine to try During each meeting there s nothing better than sitting back, listening to the guest speaker and sampling yours and other members wines, but over the last few meetings the amount of wines brought in by members has dropped csiderably. So have a look in the wine rack and bring something alg to try, and to the Country winemakers, a little harder look as the grape wines far exceed the fruit wines. The FAWG, PROMOTE THE RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL. GUESTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME. Page 4
