JUMILLA The origins of the winery date from 1916, when Juan Gil Gimènez, great grandfather of the present generation, started getting involved in the world of wines, building a winery in the heart of Jumilla. His son, Juan Gil Guerrero, dedicated his whole life to the wine business, but it was the third generation who really consolidated the winery. Juan Gil Gonzalez together with his brother Paco, the founder s grandsons, forged an image of quality, reliability and efficiency with the present generation trying to maintain and improve as much as possible. JUAN GIL SILVER LABEL Wine 100% Monastrell 12M French oak It has a very dark cherry color with purple tones. In the nose it has a powerful aroma of red berries toasted and smoked notes from their aging in oak barriques. It has good structure with ripe and sweet tannins. In the mouth it is very long with a perfect balance between fruit, alcohol and the oak tones which make it very pleasant and easy to drink. 7 D.O. CALATAYUD Bodegas Ateca has its headquarters in the locality of Ateca (Zaragoza), fourteen kilometers from Calatayud. The vineyard, planted on slate soil on sites at higher elevations of the area, is made up mainly of small parcels of old vines of Garnacha from the mountain hillside of Ateca and the surrounding villages. 8 D.O. MONTSANT Montsant is a D.O. which has not yet shown its real potential as far as enological quality is concerned. Contrary to its illustrious neighbor Priorat, in Montsant one can work with characteristic varieties, each one planted in soils of different compositions, i.e. sand and clay for Cariñena, also called Mazuelo, limestone for Syrah, and slate (known as licorella) for Garnacha. BLAU Blend 50% Cariñena, 25% Syrah, 25% Garnacha 4M French oak Bright purple. Spice-accented black and blue fruit aromas are complemented by violets and woodsmoke. Round and seamless on the palate, offering juicy blackberry and cassis flavors. 9 D.O. ALMANSA Atalaya Winery is located east of Albacete Province among Valencia, Alicante and Murcia, in the transit zone between the Castilian Plateau and the Mediterranean Sea. The winery and vineyards are located 3-km north of Almansa at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level. The soils consist mainly of limestone. The predominant grape varieties are Garnacha Tintorera, a variety native to the area, and Monastrell, from which this project builds its wines. Technical direction is provided by Australian-born winemaker Frank Gonzales. 10 D.O. RUEDA The winery and vineyards are located in the most southwestern part of the appellation in the province of Segovia. The grapes for this wine come from 30.5 hectares of very old Verdejo vines, with low yields (2.5/ha). The vines were planted in sandy soils in vaso system, which makes it possible that many of them are ungrafted. The vineyards have a surface layer of small-sized river gravel and a deeper layer that consists of clay. Technical direction is provided by Belinda Thomson of the Australian Crawford River winery in the area of Victoria, and Alastair Gardner. ARINDO Type of Wine: Young White 100% Verdejo Ripe, bright tropical notes of pineapple and mango on the nose with sweet/tart apple and pear flavors. 11 Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y Leon The vineyards of Tempranillo, planted on sandy soils in the traditional vaso system, are located in the areas of El Pego and Villanueva de Campean within the Province of Zamora. The hand-picked grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks aging for at least 6 months in French oak barrels. GOTA de ARENA Type of Wine: ENTRESUELOS Type of Wine: Aged Red 100% Tempranillo 12M French oak Deep purple color, the aromatics erupt from the glass featuring a mix of crushed red and black fruits, and sweet spice tinged with cedar. An incredible value, possessing fantastic fruit, excellent mid-palate depth and ripe tannins. On the palate are berry nuances and a stony minerality that is rich, powerful and well-balanced. TRIDENTE PRIETO PICUDO Type of Wine: Aged Red Prieto Picudo 15M French oak Inky ruby. A cool, mineral-driven bouquet shows scents of red and dark berries, violet, sassafras and licorice, with a blast of cracked pepper. Smells like Syrah. Lively but deep, with tangy red and blackcurrant flavors, along with notes of cola and vanilla on the back half. This 130 year old vineyard is planted on a top layer of gravel over very sandy soils producing very low yields of less than one ton per acre. This very limited production reflects the typicality and genuineness of the indigenous grapes coming from this unique terroir. The grapes are carefully hand-picked in small baskets of 15 Kgs, fermented in small stainless vats and aged in 225 litre French oak barrels for 20 months. Prieto Picudo grapes are autochthonous from the Province of Leon, bunches and grapes are small with a very high potential for the aging. The fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks for 10 days, then to French oak barrels where the fermentation ended and stayed for 15 months [12]

13 D.O. JUMILLA The winery is located in the Valle de La Aragona, inside the Murcia district of Jumilla and surrounding area. The vineyards are 76.8 acres of very old vaso trained Monatrell vines oriented northeast, and 28.8 acres of 30 year old Cabernet Sauvignon planted on smooth hills looking north. Monastrell vines are planted in a foot deep layer of chalky stones over substrata of sandy soil. Cabernet vines are planted in vineyards with chalky, stony soil over a layer of sandy soil with clay. CLIO Type of Wine: Aged Red 70% Monastrell 30% Cabernet Sauvignon 24M French & American oak Dark cherry red. Intense nose of ripe fruits, cassis and blackberry, mixed with sensations of toasted coffee and licorice which brings finesse and elegance. 14 D.O. RIAS BAIXAS Rías Baixas boasts a number of high-quality grapes; chief among them is Albariño, occupying more than 90% of the DO s vineyard area. The soils are largely granite with some chalk and clay. The earth here offers lots of minerals but few nutrients, making it perfect for wine-growing. The slopes encourage good drainage so the vines still reach deep into the earth. Given the high rainfall, that drainage is important. The neighboring Atlantic Ocean provides not only rain but also humidity, so growers have traditionally favored trellising their vines with pergolas, allowing air to circulate around the grapes, thereby preventing rot and fostering ripening. Fortunately, late summer is usually the driest part of the year, providing perfect ripening conditions for harvest in October. KENTIA Type of Wine: Young White 100% Albariño The wine appears straw-colored with tinges of green. Fresh, crisp and fragrant with an abundance of flavors and aromas of melon, pear, peach, tropical fruit, and a subtle herbaceous element combine magnificently to produce this enticing silky white with pleasing minerality and refreshing acidity. A percentage of the wine was fermented in 500 and 600 liter French oak barrels and the remainder was left on it s lees for approximately four months. 15 D.O. CAMPO DE BORJA Campo de Borja is a Spanish Denominción de Origen (D.O.) for wines located in the Campo de Borja comarca, northwest of the province of Zaragoza (Argon, Spain). The Moncayo mountain is the dominant feature of the D.O. and creates a microclimate which gives the wines a special character. GODINA 100% Garnacha 15M French oak This ruby/purple wine offers finesse and elegance in addition to moderately intense aromas of spice box, licorice, plums and subtle oak. 17 MONASTRELL BIB BAG IN A BOX 3 LITERS Type of Wine: Young Dry Red 100% Monastrell Intense, deep red cherry color, a juicy, forward red, sporting a mix of cassis and blueberry flavors. Fine tannins and bright acidity with solid length and savory finish. Grapes used for this wine come from vineyards of Monastrell, indigenous grape from the province of Murcia, in the southeast of Spain, and were planted on rocky and limestone soils between 700 and 800 meters above sea level. These grapes were hand harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 10 days with temperature controlled below 80ºF.
