5 Lee Jeans National Denim Day at Donges Bay School October 8, 2010 Get your jeans and/or your pink clothing ready. Join us in the fight against breast cancer. All staff members and students are invited to participate in Donges Bay s 2 nd Annual National Denim Day. Started in 1996, Lee Jeans invited companies to go casual for a cause, inviting their employees to wear jeans to work on Denim Day in exchange for a monetary contribution to fight against breast cancer. For information about Lee National Denim Day, kindly go to the following website: In 2009, the Donges Bay School staff held their own Lee National Denim Day to join the fight. This year, the teachers and staff would like to invite the entire Donges Bay School community to join in the effort. How Can You (or your child) Participate? 1. Wear denim (and pink if desired) to school to show your support of the fight against breast cancer on Friday, October 8 th (the identified Lee National Denim Day). 2. Consider a contribution. Kindly bring your spare change or dollars to school. There will be an envelope in each homeroom classroom as well as the school office for the donations. Student Council members will be collecting & counting the money and forwarding it to Lee Denim and the Women s Cancer Programs of EIF. The Women s Cancer Programs of EIF receive 100% of the net proceeds raised for Lee National Denim Day. Funds are used to support groundbreaking early detection and treatment research and community educational services nationwide in the fight against breast cancer. If you have any questions, kindly direct them to the Student Council Co-Advisors, Stacy Sullivan ( ) or Suzette Grube-Thur (mailto:sgrubethur@mtsd.k12.wi.us). Thank you in advance for joining our fight against breast cancer!
